I had been renting Economy Double Room at Forums for a few days. The breakfast options are numerous and tasty, the staff is friendly, flexible and helpful. The place is mostly clean, thermally well-isolated, and the bathroom is really nice. The bed in the room was truly squeaky, as many here write, but it was nice to sleep in. The location is wonderful - there are many sights, restaurants, clubs, shops and transport options one step away. Being a light sleeper, I needed to use earplugs a couple of times - the railroad is nearby, and especially noisy neighbors were up late one night. I recommend the place. :)
Hotel is good the place where is located is excellent Staff friendly The view from balcony is good but not excellent (you can find better) the minus is the isolation between the rooms its very bad I can recommend that but read my comment
I stayed at the Forums hotel for a total of 3 nights. I booked a standard room with 1 bed. Upon arriving to the hotel I was greeted by a lovely lady at the front desk. She was very efficient and I was quickly checked in. I would consider this a budget hotel so for the $$ I paid I was satisfied with the room. It was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was great and the bathroom was clean. Although this room was right next to the elevator I was surprised at how quiet it was. I wasn’t disturbed at all during my stay. The only thing in the room that could use updating is the carpet as there were a few stains on it but other than that I really enjoyed my stay. This hotel has charm. If your looking for location as well this is the place! Close to everything in the old city, a few min walk from where the airport bus picks up and drops off, close to train station and plenty of restaurants. I would recommend this hotel if your looking for somewhere cheap, clean, convenient and friendly service. …
It's a 3-4 star hotel - a good location u can walk to the old city and to the canal park- - a buffet breakfast was fine except there was no rolls anf omelette - the room have a balcony to smoke - Public parking by fee few minutes from the hotel
After reading positive reviews we were in a state of high expectation about this hotel and Riga in general. The hotel has plus points such as a central location and a good breakfast. But the noise from nearby pubs and hostel kept us awake. Maybe a quieter room could have been given. The staff also did not exactly go out of their way to make us feel at home (which is what the staff of 2 Norway hotels did when visited that country next). Finally they charged us 20 Euros as service !
