We were on a Newmarket tour and this was a stop on the way back from Tallinn to Vilnius. It's located on the main through road close to the castle and other attractions. There is no lift to the first floor rooms - this can be a problem for those with mobility limitations. We had a view over the road at...

We just stopped off for a drink. The rear terrace has tables and umbrellas and overlooks the town gardens which are attractive and contain a couple of black swans. A pleasant and peaceful coffee stop!

The hotel is quite charming as it dates back to 1939. Set in pleasant park grounds. Plus side the rooms are clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant good value and tasty and very pleasant staff serving. The downside is no lifts so if you have mobility problems you would need to ensure the availability of a ground floor room....

Great location, great service. We walked in at the last moment and were in our room 10 minutes later. The breakfast was also way above expectation. The area is also fantastic, right in the center, with shops, the excellent castle and nightlife not far away.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good, the location is great, and a very reasonable price. This is a great place to go to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I would happily stay here again.

Cesis is for the Castle and the National Park. It is a small town with little choice of accommodation, but this is a nice, old fashioned hotel, reminiscent of some of the smaller scottish hotels: plenty of atmosphere, heritage and welcome, but a bit thin on creature comforts. A reasonable restaurant, which is just as well as there is really...

We enjoyed this hotel, it's not an exclusive one, but it's honest in the approach. We found all amenities we wish. In contrast to other reviews we found it quiet (even from our room in the third floor, which faced to the street). The room was quite large and in a good condition. Remarkable is the restaurant, which we can...

A great building, lovely staircase, gorgeous setting and gardens, shame about the rooms and the breakfast. Stayed as a group on a Baltic tour (maybe in the cheapest rooms??) in the middle of August when the temps were around 24. The room was like a furnace and even though we got in quick as asked for a fan (thanks to...

We stayed here as a group of 42 people. We had a reasonable if rather small room (204) which had a 1970s television set, a bar and good wifi. The bathroom had a tub and hot water. No lift and o help with baggage. We were told breakfast was at 7 a.m and although 30 or so of the 42...
