Rooms look nice and breakfast was better than I expected in this price. For food they offered: porridge, sausages, boiled eggs, different salads, sandwich material, muesli and cellogs. Room had 2 minuses: no place to put your clothers and thin walls. There is no even no place to put your coat, so it is OK for only one night stay...

This time have chosen this place willing to try something else in Tartu. You get what's paid - 2* hotel which looks and feels like a hostel. But only 27 eur for a night. Reception on the second floor. Room - another building crossing the parking (convinient and quite large to be true). Very little room which looks completely old...

When travelling with three little children, it isn't too easy to find a place to stay where we all can fit in. When beeing in Tartu we have several times stayed in Hotel Starest. This place has been nicely renovated, offers very good prices for suite/family room. Breakfast is ok, stuff friendly. Location is out of downtown but still in...

Stayed just for a night. The room was small, and in the medium level of cleanness. Did not use the breakfast, so can't say anything about it! The hotel is far from city center, and it took a while any time I wanted to take taxi. However, it was not so bad for just one night.

It is not very expensive. Blankets were clean. Very good breakfast. Problems: quite many things do not work in the room, too narrow curtains that do not cover window, old tv that works badly, in bathroom uncomfortable things, needs repairing. I spent there two nights and both nights there were about 20 little boys (8-10 years old). I think only...

We stayed in the hotel for four nights. The hotel was somewhat dodgy, but for 45€ a night we were happy. The room was quite warm and they wouldn't clean it unless you left the key to the hotel. We didn't know that, but we were able to change our room as it hadn't been cleaned. The breakfast was poor,...

The hotel/motel is located 10 minutes by car from Old Town. The room was large with modern tv and an in-room sauna which was cool. However the motel is spooky. We heard the people above us, the configuration of the room was weird as had to unlock 2 doors to enter. Looks like the space was reconfigured unnaturally. Wifi did...

While the room for two for one night was cheap, I expected a bit more. 1. the room was hot, and the only way to get it a bit cooler was to keep the window open. 2. while the bathroom was huge, and there was a big hot tub, the smell of mold was overpowering and made the place feel...

We stayed in Hotel Starest for a few days in December. The hotel is 5 - 10 minutes away from the centre by taxi which is 5-7 Euros in the day time and 10-15 Euros after midnight. We didn't get the bus as we are unfamiliar with Estonia and relied on taxi and friends to transport us from the hotel...

I had a very bad experience living in this hotel. 1.too far from the city center. 2. walls are damm thin and that day the neighbour's tv was playing whole night keept me awake. 3. the breakfast was limited with the variety. 4. The staff was not fluent in Russian/English. Would not reconsider it in future.

“And last but not least- don´t check in into room nr 27. Though it is quite spacious and has sauna it seems and smells like the beds are put into the sauna relaxing room. Also it is situated on very low ground floor which means you might not want to sleep with windows open.”
