Leonardo da Vinci once said that “Water is the driving force in nature”. If this is true, then X Hostel is unnatural in every conceivable way. Our group were just about prepared to endure the dangerously low doorway, poor hygiene and dismal décor offered by this admittedly low budget hostel. However, it transpired that the landlord’s somewhat radical solution to... More

The staff is so friendly, but I think it's better to pickup your customer. Tonight, these roommates they are drunk, and then vomit in the room! Yes, in the room. Although later their friend gave him a bowl (sure it's from kitchen) The worst experience I've ever met. One suggestion is to keep one staff sleep in the hostel. Or... More

I would avoid this hostel. It is basically like some dude has put a load of bunk beds in his living room and let's his mates crash round every night, except some have to pay. When the beds are full, the owner offers (paying and pre-booked) guests the sofa next to the (smelly) bunny in the main living area which... More

This review is TOTALLY FAKE and does not represent our hostel. It is someone who we have just had a problem with who has promised to punish us. See our reviews on any of the booking sites where you have to make a reservation and show-up to leave a review. More

Good: Very helpful staff, great location. Cheap. Bad: Rickety bunks, so every move by your bunkmate is felt. Strong mold smell in bathroom, so didn't use the shower. 12 people in one room.

Our bunks are 3 months old and in excellent condition. There is no smell of mold in the bathroom. We try to be eco and usually clean with vinegar, so perhaps that was the smell? More

This is a lovely hostel to stay at.It s in the heart of Old Tallinn and convenient to transport too.The staff are welcoming and friendly, and go out of their way to help, as well as being very generous hosts. the place is small so meeting people is easy, and very sociable.Of course, the bunny is a great asset, tamest... Hostels like these are what makes travel through Europe such an experience. It was great to be in a small place that felt like a community where you're able to interact with everyone around you. The bunny theme was cool and the mascot, Mr. Nomsalot really is the best bunny ever. The owners were really nice as well. If you're... More

Amenities

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bunstel is a unique boutique hostel for travelers and small groups (only 12 cozy beds). Rated best location! Kadi will be your host in pure Estonian style: friendly and welcoming. You will get advise and tips on what to see and where to go to experience Tallinn like no other traveler. Enjoy winter by having a hot drink watching the snowy weather from a warm common room with new friends. Nightly Bar-Hop (discount drinks at some of the best bars) where we take the party to the streets; yes we are cozy but we know where the fun is when needed! Unique advice; as in the best places to eat local food staying on a budget, and other unique advice on the best of Tallinn (think secret tunnels, an old prison, climbing soviet statues, great nature spots, and other alternative activities) Our community means real interaction between guests in our small hostel. Located in the center of Old-Town in a magical green courtyard with a patio bar. ... more   less
