From the outside the hotel looks cheap but inside its very nice. Nice room, clean and good bathroom. Shower is great. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The ones I met all speak good English. Breakfast is good, enough choice of bread, eggs, fruit etc. The restaurant is not good, food was not fresh, microwave food?. But no problem many great restaurants on walking distance. The wifi was down or slow most of the time. Nearby bars offer free wifi. Overall a nicehotel for reasonable price. I will go back to it on my next visit.

I arrived in Klaipeda quite late at night for a conference. First impressions of the Hotel were great, welcoming staff, attractive foyer. Room was a pleasant corner room on the 4th floor overlooking the river. It was only went I went to bed that I heard the persistent drip, drip, drip which upon investigation was coming from above a window. A towel underneath indicated that staff were aware of it but as they'd had huge storms the night before I thought no more of it. Several days and considerable rain later the drip was still happening but it was when I returned to my room to find part of the ceiling on the floor that I though enough was enough. Staff ( to their credit) acted quickly and moved me to a new room and offered help in doing so. However the obviously ongoing ceiling issue (I was ther for 4 days), the sloppy housekeeping (variable towels replaced, glasses not cleaned or refreshed), and the minimal inclusions ( no room clock, no information about the hotel ) make me wonder why it's a four star. Add to that the location on a busy, noisy road and I would suggest that it's not the ideal Klaipeda location. Shame because this is a lovely city with much to recommend it.

It was already in the last year, but overall my trip has left nothing but the best memories of 3 girl road trip to Klaipeda! We booked in the very last minute and asked for help in the tourist information centre of Klaipeda and they suggested Vecekrug. Not only we had a good price, we got the extra bed for free and we stayed there for 2 days. Rooms - clean and nice, as well as the bathroom. Service - very polite and kind. I would wanted the jacuzzi to be used for free, but it did not change the good experiance there. Breakfast was traditional and simple but good. Prices in the lobby bar/restaurant were very reasonable and waiter was very polite, plus we got the invitations for a great Salsa club in the old town Klaipeda. The top terrace was a great place to relax as well! View - better from the top rooms. Location - in the centre and you can reach all the main sites on foot! We had a trouble with a car left opened, but the hotel staff was efficient and fast to solve the trouble in the parking by somebody chacking the inside of my car, and when I got down from my room the police was there and everybody was trying to solve the problem and we did! That made us feel even more safe there! Great place for a weekend getaway...
