We had a three night stay and although the room was huge it was fairly basic. The breakfast was certainly not the best we had in Slovakia but the location of the hotel makes up for the lack of facilities. However the main disadvantage is that there is no lift which whilst not a problem for us, could well be... More

A good hotel on the main square with some parking behind (accessed from the street to the rear of the hotel). The hotel is housed in a fine old building, unfortunately the decor is all modern and the historic feel is lost. The rooms are updated, modern, comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly. An adequate breakfast is served.

This is an ok hotel. Does the job if you got stuck in town and had to sleep somewhere. It is located by the city square and has its own parking. However : there is no elevator. You will have to climb 60 stairs with your luggage in order to get to your room. No bell boy to take them... More

My husband found Arcade hotel online, instantly we thought it looked really nice. I am from Banska Bystrica so I knew location was great. We have arrived in the hotel after a long journey, check in was quick off we went to second floor. We didn't check on their web site that they didn't have a lift ( our mistake)... More

We were looking for a convenient place to explore the downtown. There were not many choices, we hsve booked Arcade and were positively surprised. Building is historic ( though no jewel), rooms modern and service was appropriate to three stars. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, all was very clean. We have had a tour guide next day organised, this is... More

Only one night spent in a beautiful room 302 with the view on the main square. Very clean, beautiful design and very spacious. Buffet breakfast was pretty good too. Please note, it is a cold buffet breakfast (selections of cold meat, boiled eggs, cheese, bread rolls, jams, honey, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit...) - yumm! I would definitely recommend to a... A lovely old building right on the town square. A huge room and bathroom. Staff very helpful and friendly. Even though our room faced the square we could not hear any noise due to the double glazing. One literally stepped out of hotel and onto the marvelous square. Lots of outside restaurants to have dinner al fresco.

Hotel Arcade depicts itself on its website as "historic" with its own bakery "next" to the hotel. In fact, the bakery is what you have to go through to get to the hotel "lobby" unless you want to walk down the side alley and enter through the back. When the bakery is closed, that is the only way you can... More

The hotel is just in the center of the historic town. The rooms were huge and very nice decorated. Basically all the hotel is restored very nicely. We had rooms facing the pedestrian zone which were great. View from the bedroom was spectacular. Restaurants and pubs just in front and near hotel. Breakfast was adequate. Parking is at the back... This hotel is just off the main square. The rooms were quite modern but very spacious and comfortable. There are a number of common areas in the hotel if you just don't want to stay in your room. Staff are friendly, speak and understand English well.
