The Balaton Hotel is one of the few moderate priced hotels open all year in Siofolk, not far from Budapest. They have a new infinity pool on the 3rd floor overlooking the lake and is walking distance from the entertainment district. The city is quaint and fun to explore too, with a few charming cafes and coffee shops downtown. We...

We traveled to Siofok to do some research on the Balaton name. Found out that hardly anyone in the area speaks any English. Since we were researching the Balaton name, we figured why not stay at the Balaton Hotel? Great view of the lake from the balcony, the rooms have been upgraded, but really need a good cleaning. There were...

I spent one night at this place by the lake. This establishment has gone through renovation, rooms are pretty comfortable and well furnished. It is a good view of the lake Balaton from the balcony and the beach is just a few steps away. Hotel is located close to the town center and the promenade with various bars and restaurants....

It is a nice surprise for a three-star hotel to have so comfortable rooms and a that good service. Nice restaurant and conference facilities, excellent food, competitive prices, perfect location. Rooms are big enough, all with balcony and nice view. The wellness is unique, with open pools also in winter, lots of different options. Very clean. Staff helpful and friendly,...

Very nice modern hotel located in the holiday centre very close to the beach, to the bars, restaurants. Very close to everything. Has is´s own entrance to the beach, garden with camp - beds. Amazing swimming pool with warm water. Air - condition, wifi. Not suitable for families with children, it´s a noisy place. Our room at the 6th floor...

Very small room. No hair dryer. My room was just above the pool, you can hear the noise inside. When you enter, you need to pull up the shades - its always dark inside when you are not staying. No wifi or desk in the room makes it unsuitable to stay and work. The breakfast is poor, not even sufficient...

the hotel is average, quite nicely located. we had a direct lake view which was very enjoyable. the air conditioning worked very good providing the right temperature for resiting and hiding from the sun. But this is not a clean place. the breakfast area (restaurant) was never tided up. the overnumbered staff was very lazy and did not manage to...

The hotel Manager (I think)? Wasn't trying anything els then to get our money, (they all want cash), I think with a VAT 27% it's normal. Rooms are very small for a feasort, could be ok for a business hotel. The most apalling was breakfast, a group was leaving befor we arrived ( one hour befor) when we arrived for...

We spent four nights in this friendly hotel. The hotel has direct access to the lake although it is a really small path, they have a garden where we could have sunbath. They provide sun-umbrella and outside chairs too but you can use your own towel if you want. The room was nice, tidy and clean with airconditioning. The beds...
