So on our first visit to Budapest, we wasn’t sure where to stay, but after reading the rave reviews about the Aria, it was decided.
The hotel is situated on a private road, so there are no noisy cars driving up and down. We were greeted warmly as soon as we stepped out of the cab, checked in quickly and offered a coffee while we were waiting for our room. The hotel is very unique with a stylish indoor courtyard with a piano and lots of light and mirrors everywhere. The whole theme is music and it is very well suited indeed. The attention to detail is spot on.
We were shown to our room, which was huge. The bedroom was huge, the bathroom was huge, the shower was huge, hopefully you get the picture.....it was huge!!
There are two windows which look out on the main road, so not really a city view as such, but it’s good for people watching. The hotel is very nicely situated very close to all the main sites, so very easy to explore by foot.
The staff are super friendly and helpful and nothing was a problem.
Breakfast was nice with a small buffet with hot food cooked to order.
We had dinner in the Liszt restaurant one evening which was very nice with great food and amazing desserts.
We also had a massage in the spa which was very, very good and the spa itself is very well equipped with a large pool and various steam rooms/sauna.
The rooftop bar has a big selection of drinks and good views of the city, but it was too cold for us to venture outside to get a proper look.
All in all a 5* experience and highly recommended.
Thank you everyone at the Aria

I booked a few days To Budapest in February 2020 at the 5 Star Aria library Spa Hotel in central Budapest to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday. I chose the Aria as it was very central and positioned right next door to the Basilica.
As it was our first trip to Budapest I wanted it to be special. We had a great flight from London and was picked up at the airport by a private chauffeured car. The immaculate driver/car was superb and he was very informative. He offered complimentary water on the journey to the hotel which took approx 30 minutes.
On arrival we were greeted by very friendly, smart concierge and reception personnel who were extremely efficient.
The hotel is small in comparison to the large international chain hotels but where it lacked scale, it made up for it with its personal touch.
Our room/en-suite was fantastic and very modern and spotlessly clean. All the mod cons. Electric window blinds, chandeliers and beautifully decorated.
The hotel decoration was exquisite and based on a music theme with a large bespoke contemporary grand piano central to the main lounge area.
My wife and I had 6 spa treatments whilst we were there and the Spas were lovely. The pool, sauna and steam room and shower facilities were 1st class.
I travel worldwide regularly with my work and privileged to stay in 5 star hotels where ever I am. However I can honestly say the Aria Hotel is on par with any 5 star I have been in.
All the staff we met during our stay were very friendly and very professional in every way.
I would certainly return to this hotel and have already recommended it to many of our friends.
Budapest was also a very great choice. Wonderful site seeing. The Basilica is a must. Great restaurants and bars.
We both throughly enjoyed it and will return in the near future.
Best regards

Dear Ivor, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Aria Hotel Budapest during this special occasion and thank you for such a wonderful review. Here at Aria we love celebrations and it was a pleasure to be the part of yours. It was heart-warming to read that you were satisfied with the approach and service of our staff. I will definitely forward your motivating words to the whole Aria Team. It was truly nice to learn from your feedback that you highlighted the service in our award winning Harmony Spa and the quality of the treatments as well. I am also glad you liked our musically inspired and well-equipped rooms. Each room and suite celebrates the work of an unforgettable music legend. Room designs come in four distinctive styles inspired by Jazz (Olive), Opera (Orchid), Classical (Turquoise) or Contemporary (White with a pop of Orange) music. We are extremely lucky with our location, not just because of the most popular sightseeing places are with walking distance but also the spectacular view to the city and to the Saint Stephen’s Basilica right next to us. I hope that we will have the chance to welcome you back in the future to Aria Hotel Budapest or any other sister properties in the Library Hotel Collection Family. Warmest regards, Mark @ Ariahotelbudapest . com

We were a bit put off with the music theme, don't know why but I suppose I thought it might lean towards the classical but we were happy with our choice from the start to finish and lots of great surprises; classy music, wine and snacks 4-6pm in foyer with a superb singer, great spa with sauna, steam and small swimming pool, small gym but well equipped . Wonderful views from the roof bar and we ordered some small plates for sharing which were good. Great wine list and we enjoyed the hungarian selection. Book ahead as it is popular. Breakfast included a menu for eggs, porridge, pancakes etc and a good buffet including fresh fruit, seeds, nuts etc. Rice milk available if vegan. Rooms are fresh, well equipped and bathrooms was large with a great wet room style shower and a separate bath. Lovely balcony area. Tasty macaroons left at turn down. Staff were all super.
Budapest is super cool place to visit.

Dear Sally D, Thank you very much for your passionate words regarding your recent stay with us. The Aria hotel is lovely - well situated near great restaurants and sights. The service staff were very personable and took personal interest in the guests. The rooms were large and spacious. The room included breakfast and also drinks in the evening with a piano player.
Unfortunately our trip at the end was ruined by a waitress at breakfast with a bad cold coughing everywhere. We therefore became concerned with the hotel, hotel staff and the well being of their staff and guests as this is not ideal.

Dear Dalea987, Thank you very much for your compliments and sharing your experience at the Aria with us and the TripAdvisor community. It means so much to us that you mentioned the human element being so important to the perfect stay. Indeed, it is what we hope separates us from chain hotels and we often speak among ourselves of the importance of making the human to human connection with our guests. We stayed with family and friends in this beautiful hotel in the centre of Budapest. Although it is within walking distance from the all the restaurants and beautiful sights it was very quiet and safe. All members of staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are stunning and very comfortable, with complimentary coffee/tea, water bootles and high quality toiletries. The spa facilities are, like the all the other areas in the hotel, beautiful and very clean. A special treat for us was the afternoon complimentary cheese and wine selcetion for the guests accompanied by life piano playing. We ended every day of our trip in the stunning roof top bar overlooking St. Stephens Cathedral where we were served great drinks by the charming bar staff. Staying in this fabulous hotel made our Budapest trip very very special.

We had a wonderful stay at the Aria. It’s a beautiful, very well located hotel and every member of staff we met couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms are large and spacious with high ceilings and helpful additions such as ipads and mobiles you can use during your stay. The breakfast is great, a varied selection with all hot items cooked to order so they are not only fresh and delicious but it also avoids the waste you often see with hot breakfast buffets. The spa is very relaxing, great décor and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves for the couple of hours we visited. The roof terrace bar has incredible views and is clearly a destination for visitors to Budapest so it’s a definite benefit having it within your hotel, although I would still recommend booking through the concierge at busy times. All in all we couldn’t have hoped for a better hotel for our Budapest trip.

Tucked away on a clean side street between a major arterial and the San Sebastian Cathedral Square is an understated storefront that leads to an oasis of hospitality. Doors are opened to you by the bellman and there is not wait at the front desk. This is a boutique experience the way we like it, the antithesis of mass lodging at high end name brand hotels. These guys have the formula down. Everyone is professional and helpful, they are not shy to help with any special request. The complementary daily breakfast and the wine and cheese in the atrium (daily from 4-6, sometimes complemented by music played on their stunning $300,000 grand piano) add very nice touches to an otherwise plush stay. Beds are top quality comfort, and finishes and amenities are top 1% by European standards. This is an older building with an open courtyard that has been completely redone with some of the finest materials. The rooftop bar is high-end with impeccable service and food and beverage selections. If you are visiting Budapest, the price point of this hotel is well worth the money for the convenience of being right in the middle of things. The Line 1, 2 and 3 metro is a short ten minute walk toward the Budapest ferry wheel, and from the hotel you can walk to the Danube and the old town with all its charm in no time. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here pre Covid - Aug 2019 and have been meaning to write this review for some time. Firstly I travel a lot (typically, pre Covid once a week) and have stayed at some great hotels, but this, by far, was the best I have ever stayed in. This literally ticks all the boxes, location (centre of everything), service (impeccable) and style - the whole hotel from lobby to room oozes class and attention to detail.
The service in particular was second to none, nothing was too much trouble for everyone I spoke to. The rooms (we had a suite) exuded style wherever you looked and I loved the interior balcony. As for location, you couldn't pick a better spot next to the cathedral and centre of the city. Cant wait for this virus to move on, so we can stay here again.

I hope also that we will have the chance to welcome you back in the future to Aria Hotel Budapest or any other sister properties in the Library Hotel Collection Family. Warmest regards, Mark @ Ariahotelbudapest . com

It's every afternoon between 4 and 6pm and there is a pianist. Cheese, crackers, grapes, dried fruit, red and white wine. It is lovely. The Aria hotel is fantastic - you will love it!
Hi yes you can visit the sky bar and not have to stay at the hotel

Dear Paul, indeed we provide laundry service from EUR 4 to 30.
What is the best way to get to the hotel from airport? By hotel partnered taxi or hotel car? Thanks!
Dear Charmlee,
We are providing multiple types of hotel transfer from Merdedes E class sedan to S class limousine or Viano minivan for bigger groups. A typical transfer from the airport costs 13 000 forints (~EUR 43). Please refer to our full list of transfer options: libraryhotelcollection. com / blog/transfer-parking-information/
You may take a taxi from the Airport too, those are by the meter and public transportation may also be an option. However you feel like, the most comfort and style is absolutely with the Mercedes cars.
Best regards,
Istvan
