I was just visiting my family in Hungary and stayed in Regency Hotel. As I heard they renewed the rooms, they were excellent. Very modern, new design, comfortable bed, clean and nice linens. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruits, vegetables some national hungarian breakfast meal, tasty cold cuts, delicious croissant- my favourite!!But the best in this hotel is the friendly...

We have a 9 month old so preferred booking a room with a microwave. While we found the location ideal and staff helpful, the room itself was a little disappointing. The carpet didn't seem to be vacuumed and the shower rail was broken. There was too much noise from the bar downstairs late into the night. The most disappointing of...

Good hotel. Clean and tidy. Pleasant staff. Handy to everything a traveler would want. We took a taxi from train station to here but possible to walk. I was a bit disappointed with breakfast. Orange juice lacked flavour. No fruit for the cornflakes. Tea water from coffee machine not hot enough. The quality of what was on offer was good....

Very good location, breakfast and value. All hotel staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly! Only down side was the poor lighting in both the sleeping area and especially the bathroom. I would certainly stay here again.

I stayed here for one night only before beginning a tour the next day. Whilst my time here ws limited I felt that it represented pretty good value for money. I paid approx $6 extra for a double "suite", and it was rather large by European standards! Separate bathroom and breakout area. The lobby was good for a drink and...

We did not have a great experience at the Regency Suites in Budapest. To start with a positive, it was located nicely to walk to many attractions and areas to be seen, as well as the waterfront promenade with all its many restaurants and "Illuminations" at night. And the front desk staff did her best (only one person seen working...

A generally pleasant stay. The location was convenient for a sightseeing base. Large one bedroom suite had enough room for 3 adults. The provided amenities were entirely adequate. Budapest was unseasonably cold at this time, but the suite climate was always comfortable. Staff was cheerful and eager too assist. However we felt there was a notable lack of experience in...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
