Stayed here for 3 nights during the second weekend in June.We were picked up at the airport by one of the employees (€26) and taken straight to the apartment. As we walked in it was a rather ramshackle hallway & lift but it seemed very evocative of the 1920's or 30's.The apartments are on the third floor of this block (the...

3 nights during summer 2012. First of all we have booked this pension for April 2012 but unfortunately our flight was cancelled. As we had already paid for the room and the deal was great we couldn' t cancel it. So we changed our booking for summer as the owner was kind and made us this favour. The appartment was...

Apartment was clean and modern. It was one big room with basic kitchen and bathroom. Location is great, close to the center of Budapest. We were staying at Nagy Diofa street. Only problem was that we were waiting stuff more than one hour to check in.

We wanted to stay in area and looking for an apartment with 3 beds, so offer was quite limited. I always look for reviews, but this time i was happy to make a booking on smartphone, because edge internet during our way to Budapest was horrible. So never ever to book before reading reviews. Location is great, in the middle...

We were staying at Nagy Diofa street. Very close to centre and the best district in Budapest!!! Apartment was small, one room with small kitchen and a nice size bathroom. All in all, for 31.5 euros for 2 people for one night, it was far better than we expected! Oh yes, if you stay for more than 4 days, they...

We stayed in a room at Nagy Diofa Street 7. We arrived after the office closed on Friday evening, but we rang the number given and had to wait only 5 mins to be let in. The location is fine. Good public transport and lots of bars and restaurants, and even a Tesco supermarket. The room seemed ok, but the...

I've made a booking at the Liechtenstein Apartments pension few weeks ago. Today upon my arrival I was proposed a room at Nagy Diófa street, 7. The hosts tried to charge me the full amount before showing the apartment. I was really impressed by what I saw - if the room can be called "a room", more like "a chamber"....

For a study trip we stayed with a group of young people at the apartments. We stayed at both the locations (Wesselenyi Utca and Nagy Diofa Utca). This review is about the Nagy Diofa Utca location. The apartments are very well situated in the centre of Budapest near the major pubs & bars. The Nagy Diofa Utca apartments are located...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
