Minutes walk to the giant indoor market, turn the other way and find a comprehensive shopping (pedestrian) zone, and close proximity a variety of hop-on/hop-off bus service. The morning, included, breakfast offers a wide variety buffet spread of hot food, deli sliced meats and cheeses, cereals, and pastries. Not a luxury hotel, but a very good price performer for where... More

Just returned from 4 days visit to Budapest staying at the Boutique Hotel. The hotel is quite central to see all the sites only minutes away from the Danube. The rooms are on the small side but were warm clean and cleaned effectively on a daily basis. Breakfast was provided but unfortunately the hot food was never better than look... More

The first impression of the hotel was not great due to the rude receptionist - Victor. The way he demanded that we pay some deposit before we can enter the room was just no polite. He couldn't explain to us why we have to give him €30 in cash for deposit even though we paid up front and we were... More

This hotel is ideally situated in the city. The rooms were modern and very clean. The breakfast was to die for. I'm not usually a fan of hotel brekkie but I started getting up earlier to enjoy what this hotel had to offer. Each night we had drinks in the bar area which was very cosy. I would definitely stay... This is a hotel I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Budapest for many reasons. Its location is perfect for strolling around the city but yet it's quiet at night for restful sleep. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is great.

My wife and I have just returned from a Christmas market visit to this wonderful city. This was our third visit in three years and our first stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Every member of staff were very courteous and helpful and always smiled when serving us. The hotel was immaculately clean and the rooms were as good as... More

A lovely friendly hotel. The rooms were lovely with a spacious shower. The staff were very welcoming friendly and attentive. The breakfast was good and varied. It is ideally situated for the centre of town and close to the Danube. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a good value stay and was what I would have expected for the amount I spent. It is in the best location for being able to get to the main bars and restaurants. The reception staff were very helpful and polite. The reasons I scored a three is that the room is very small and breakfast was quite... More

We stayed here as a group of 8 in at the start of November. Staff are very polite and accommodating. 2 minutes from the river, right next to a street lined with restaurants and shops. However as it is on a small side street so away from any street noise at night. We were able to walk to all the... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
