I read that many think of this hotel as being in a bad area. It's actually not that bad, being really close to a major street and just across the street from a 5* hotel. It is placed in the old jewish neighborhood, fairly close to the Opera and within walking distance of most of the tourist attractions and Keleti...

Choose this hotel based on price, location and availability of parking, we were staying in Heviz and wanted an overnight in Budapest to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a good triple room, clean but smelt of smoke as i had not asked for a non smoking room not realising that there was this optiom, however with wimdows and aircon...

You just can't beat the price for the location, which is why we stayed here. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, and the facilities in the room were nice. The rooms have AC. The elevator goes to the 4th floor, so if you are on floor five, you have to walk up a flight, no biggie. The breakfast...

I considered this hotel because the location was great and the price was affordable. Boy did I make a mistake! The staff members were very rude and not helpful! I was extremely suprised when I came into the hotel the first day and at the front desk I was given the towel that I used because it had a makeup...

Terribble! Ther were many people from abroad: it is very wrong for the famous of our contry. Please the hotel, send this man...

We spent here 4 nights in July 2011, when we transferred from a different hotel that we didn't liked We had a runny sink all the days, we talked with the manager, but they said that the sink is not running, but each time we used it, we had the floor wet. We asked for a different room with a...

There are several reviews commenting on the cleanliness of the hotel. I do not agree. I was sure that the bed had not been changed from the last occupants. My daughter told me on our way home that she had found hairs in both beds but because it was late when went to bed had not liked to say anything...

We found this via Rick Steves' book - a little out of the way - not too far to two metro lines and near a park with lots of trendy cafes. Room was clean and good sized with comfy bed. The male staff we encountered were not so friendly (but understood/spoke English and answered questions) - but there was a...

Hotel is nice. Rooms are clean, comfortable and free breakfast is good for a room who cost only 45 euros / night. I stayed there 6 days and was very nice. Has elevator. Only complains: staff in reception is not so nice, you have to ask them if you want some tour recommendation. Room service is not every day. There's...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
