After experiencing some troubles with an other accommodation I booked I decided to cancel that specific accommodation and went looking for a new and better one, Hotel Queen Mary. This was a good decision as Hotel Queen mary proved to be the ideal hotel for me. Located near a large metro and bus station (Blaha Lujza tér) and in the... More

The location was excellent in terms of transportation (Metro 7 walking minutes), restaurants and nightlife. Staff was very helpful with good communicational skills in english too. The reception was available 24 hours. The breakfast was simple but sufficient and satisfactory. Rooms were spacy and clean. Great value for money. Check out time was set a bit early (10 am). We... We expected better when reading the reviews. The size of the room was ok, but not very clean as we found hair in our beds. We asked for a matrimonial room and were given a double-bed one, the towels were extremly hard and the electricity card broked after 5 minutes so everything seemed old and not taken care of. The... This hotel is a perfect place to stay in Budapest. It is very easy to access by metro and tram while also close to the main train station. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood so a good night's sleep is guaranteed. The staff are exceptional. They are extremely helpful and friendly, nothing is a problem. Rooms are large and... More

I went there that i have read the reviews already, so lot of things were not suprise for me. As the city was full, we had no other chance then stay here. The heating was bit low and the there was a bit of dust in the room, other then that - as we were always out of the hotel... More

The main advantage of this hotel is its location, near the city centre, close to two Metro stations (we used Octogon). Rooms were tidy and spacious, breakfast is served in a small groundfloor room, but it was tasty and abundant. Downsides are: elevator is miniscule, only two people can get in, and only if they have small travel bags. Also,... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful for us. They carried our bags to the room and they helped with pointing us to good spots to visit. The room was comfortable and good size. The only small complaint was the air conditioning was a little weak on the hotter days, luckily a cool breeze was blowing all the time, so windows... More

I read that many think of this hotel as being in a bad area. It's actually not that bad, being really close to a major street and just across the street from a 5* hotel. It is placed in the old jewish neighborhood, fairly close to the Opera and within walking distance of most of the tourist attractions and Keleti... More

Choose this hotel based on price, location and availability of parking, we were staying in Heviz and wanted an overnight in Budapest to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
