A 4 day visit, the hotel was very welcoming and the room we had was like a slightly larger premier inn room. There was plenty of places to put clothes away and stash suitcases away. The bathroom shower was quite large and very clean. The...More
The Room was a decent sized double, and the ensuite had a proper bath which makes a pleasant change. We had breakfast included in our room rate, which is buffet style with a huge range of all sorts of interesting things. I was not really...More
Had a long weekend stay here with my wife. Lovely clean hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. The location is to the south of the city in easy walking distance to the main sites. Room size is good with a comfy bed, flat screen...More
Stayed here for the Christmas Markets. A good 30 min walk to the centre, or get the Metro at Corvin approx
10 min walk. (Metro free if you are over 65!) Listed as a 4 star hotel. More like an average 3 star.
The hotel is small and friendly, it recently had gone through a refurb in some respects but still is a little dated but not as shown in previous pictures. The hotel staff are very kind and willing to do anything for you!

Go by bus to the city. Take Line 100E goes directly to city centre and 200E a bit further north. From Ferenc derek you can walk 1,1 kilometres following a straight road making one right turn before being a your destination (City Inn). We did that and we did not regret. Saved us a lot of money, and we saw some of the city. Win-win.

Sorry, unable to help. I don't know where that would be if it is set up specially. Do you have an address for the Christmas Market? Suggestion. Get google Earth and mark both the Hotel and the Christmas Market. If you don't have an address, ask your travel agent, I'm sure they will know. Further suggestion, if the Christmas Market is a separate place from the main shopping area, don't miss the chance to go down to Vaci Utca. Pedestrianised street and a nice meander with lots of shps and the main town market at the south end of the street with some very upmarket, high quality (and expensive!) shops at the northern end (toward the parliament/ Four Seasons Hotel) I've had a quick look on Google, sorry. Tried to post a link. It won't let me do that, but the name of the venue is Vörösmarty Square
If you're reasonably fit, I would estimate about 20-25 mins to walk. The hotel staff would help with directions and probably a map. They have free give away maps. Come out of the front door, turn right and first corner, about 60-70 yards (Metres!) right again and follow that street. Ask in a shop, English widely spoken, if your map reading hasn't got you quite where you want to be. Hope that's some help. Enjoy your trip. :)
