We spent 3 nights at the Agape and were very pleased with our room. Very comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen with large refrigerator, large balcony with table and chairs. The area looks a little seedy but we found it perfectly safe. Great location to walk to many of Budapest's incredible sites. Would stay here again most definitely.

Overall we thought that we got good value for our money. We liked the location, and the fact that our suite had a kitchen. Unfortunately, it is a basic hotel with few amenities. The television was antiquated with only three stations - all were in Hungarian and the reception was poor. We did have an issue with puddles of water...

Was a good hotel, beds were fine, room was clean. Airconditioning was available for 5 euros a day. It had 2 super tiny balconies but they were big enough for 1 person to stand on for a smoke so that was nice. It's just a bit complicated to get into the building but once you're checked in its fine.

At first I was a little concerned because the shutter just dropped us in between a bar and a restaurant in the middle of downtown. But once I went in, I notice the aparthotel is very safe, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the hotel is less than 5 min walk from subway and neighorhood was safe. The apartment...

Reception. Pleasant receptionist. Good English. To get into the building you have to press 05 on the key pad but if the receptionist has left the office then you will be kept waiting.just keep buzzing. hotel entrance is between two restaurant/pizza places. Once checked in you get a room key with a fob on so that you can then let...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
