No restaurant here unless for breakfast where the buffet was set up in lounge area. Actually ate it in dining room. Hotel catered for dinner only for coach parties. Bar, so we were told, is run by separate company to the hotel therefore could not set up tab. Atlas is a good walk from anything up a street that is...

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights only, and I found it to be quite noisy indoors and outdoors. The walls are paper thin, you can hear people taking a shower beside you and above you! The cables cars run through the street as well and you can definately hear it. Remote didnt work, and AC wasnt working. Food...

I stayed for two nights with a friend a couple of days ago. Very adequate, clean room, location quite ok. Although the area is not posh at all, after all normal people have also to live somewhere I guess, I was quite ok with it. It is very near to the Keleti railway station and the Lujza Blaha metro stop...

At first glance the Hotel looked perfect, smart efficient staff, speaking good English offering great advice about the City and transport. Unfortunately we were not so impressed with the room. The walls in the room are extremely grubby resembling the inside of a factory canteen, the shower cubicle had no door and the shower had to held in your hand....

The Atlas appears to be in a fairly dodgy neighbourhood, and it's surprising there's as little trouble around as there was. The hotel staff ignore their own "No smoking" signs and smoke inside in the hotel lobby. The restaurant thought replacing chicken with lamb was a good vegetarian option... er, sheep aren't vegetables, last I saw. Rooms were clean enough...

Initially thought the hotel was in a 'dodgy' area but was actually ok even in the evenings. Did need to get the tube into the tourist areas so need to factor that in although it was only ever a couple of stops. Was really not impressed with breakfast at all as a vegetarian. They had no pastries or crossaints just...

I stayed at Atlas Hotel for 6 days in 2005 during my visit for a conference. The Hotel is clean, decent and well maintained. The breakfast provided is of good quality. It is also well located and is altogether a nice and decent place to stay on a reasonable price. Dr.Manoj G Tyagi Vellore, India

The Atlas Hotel was overall good - the staff were friendly/helpful, the breakfast was good (juices, yoghurts, hot food, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea) and the both the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy. The only problem was the location. Walking home at night (you need to walk down the dodgy street to get home even if you catch public...
