Please dont go there, very old building...we locked ourselves in the bathroom by accident because the door didnt close well, so we had to break it to get out. The reception staff is good but the man with gray curly hair...he was rude from the moment we checked in. We asked him for tickets for the szechenyi baths and he...

We stayed at Unio for a short break. The hotel was of old traditional style with clean comfortable rooms. Based in between to Metro stops it was a great location to see the sights of the city. There was a good choice for breakfast, a cooked or continental style was available with a choice of juices, fruit teas and coffee....

Friendly staff. Room was a bit dusty outdated but ok. Nice clean bathroom, was traveling in november so it was nice to take a hot and long bath after all day walking in the city. Breakfast was good, had everything you need to start a day.

The hotel is very central just a few metres away there are all type of transport to all Budapest. Reception staff is helpful. The room was big but needs a little bit of restoration while the carpets in rooms some times are not cleaned but the toiletries are changed every day. The break fast has a good variety of food...

The Unio Hotel is centrally located, close to almost everything, but my room was terrible: Minus 15 degrees outside and NO heating in the room. I don't mean a "not working heater" - there is no real heater. So the room was extremely cold (8 degrees). The bathroom was extremely mouldy. The mould smell is terrible (I have Asthma and...

If you are in Budapest for a short time and only needing a very basic place to stay and easy access to restaurants, places, city, etc then this place is ok but if you're staying longer than 4 nights then i recommend to pay a bit more money to have more comforts. The hotel itself is clean and our room...

Wonderful staff very helpful. In a good location . Beautiful building with a lift. You can leave your luggage there after checking out so you can still have a day out if your flight home is in the evening.

We found the hotel welcoming and very efficiently run. The staff spoke good English and were helpful. Breakfast had a good enough choice for us - all the things your would expect plus roast chicken which my wife particularly liked. Wi-Fi was good in rooms and public areas. Good location near to the Octogon underground station with fast regular connections...

Went with a group of 15 on a stag doo. The helpfulness of the staff and the hotel was great, the location is ideal and the staff help with anything. Decor could do with upgrading, if you want that go to a 5 star. The rooms are secure with a safe and have everything you need with a basic breakfast,...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
