So comfortable, clean rooms and very kind staff, always ready to help. Very good breakfast. Very central if you don't mind the steps when you return back to hotel. Very nice and considerably cheap restaurants and bars at the river side after steps.

My friend and I decided to make a spur-of-the-moment trip to Budapest. This place was recommended so much on TripAdvisor that we had no hesitation to give it a go. Our experience turned out very enjoyable. People speak great English. They were kind, open-minded and easy to talk to, and most importantly, extremely knowledgeable about Hungarian culture (Dah!) and getting...

Host are friendly and nice people, very helpful and warm. Breadfast are delicious. The B&B is just 5 mins walking to the Batthyany ter station, just behind the Fisherman's Bastion. Room was clean and cozy. If I come back to Budapest, I will choose this place again.

We stayed at the Bellevue Budapest B&B in late September 2016. It was in a perfect location on a quiet residential street on the Buda side part way up Castle Hill. We had easy walking acess to trams/trolleys, metro, buses and local restaurants. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. We stayed in Room...

Apologies to Lajos...my wife and I stayed there a year ago so this review is rather late! We had a local (Hungarian) friend who checked out the place before we decided on it but if if we hadn't done that we'd still have been happy! The room was fine with a great view of the Hungarian parliament...we had a most...

The Bellevue is in a really convenient part of Budapest. It is close to transport, the palace and the cathedral, restaurants, and the Danube. Our room was large, very clean and comfortable with a small balcony. The breakfast was great and we really enjoyed talking to our hosts about the city and how things were going in Hungary.

If you are coming to Budapest, this is the perfect base for your visit. It is located on a quiet street in Buda, with an easy but hilly walk to the metro/tram. Get a daypass, make this your home, visit busy Pest, and come back here for peace and quiet and good restaurants and a great place to stay. The...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
