We stayed for a night during our eastern Europe trip. Room had all basic amenities. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with personal attention. View of the city is great from 15th floor. Tram /Bus Stn. is just opposite the hotel.

Generally a good stay. I was travelling alone and was given a room on the 11th floor....not shown to my room just given key...room was fine, clean, with nice views of Buda. I found some of the older members of staff grumpy and surly and not at all welcoming. I was told to move from the dining room as it... More

I used to stay in this hotel because of its nostalgic flair and the stunning view. And its almost breaking my heart, but: Hotel Budapest lost that all (ok still the nice view towards the parlament is available if in a room xx16...xx20). Now days every evening ~10is busses are dropping travel groups that totaly overload the entrance area, stuff... More

Unprofessional receptionists, rooms in bad shape. Definitely not a business hotel, badly insulated rooms, very noisy. I mean who uses key locks in hotels any more?! Worn out room, 2 single beds.... Enough said

Very old, needs refurbishment especially the bedrooms. Bed sheet torn but clean, badly stained carpets. Stay three nights and room service was make the bed and nothing else! Breakfast was a joke, no tables to sit at and if you found a table you had to clean it first. Lifts absolute joke as had to wait 20 minutes one morning....... More

Unbelievably rude staff, no service in a coffee shop that was supposed to be open and no attempt or care from the staff about helping the situation. On top of that the hotel is extremely dirty. Such a shame as this building could be fabulous if anyone working here gave a damn.

Good location. Our room had a view to the city, priceless. Our top floor room 09 had sealed windows, could not get some outside air. I have no more to say but must write something or I do not have the required characters.

Negative: 1)It's almost not possible to find the table during breakfast 2)Two lifts are not enough for such hotel (a lot of people use the emergency stairs) 3)Carpets is not so clear in the room 4)TV is old
