Booked on frequent flyer points this hotel was fantastic truly a 5star hotel. Arrived sick at 10am they got us a room straight away which was great as checkin wasn't until 3pm. The reception staff were so helpful in every way. The breakfast was outstanding, the dining room had the best view amazing position thanks Qantas and Hilton 😘😘

We were upgraded to a Danube view on the executive floor. We had a fantastic stay with the most spectacular non ocean views I have experienced in a hotel. Our window looked out onto the castle, across to Parliment House and offered a panoramic view of the Danube. The staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. Every restaurant they suggested...

Very nice rooms, as you would expect from a Hilton. The service was excellent and the concierge was very helpful on several occasions. Our cousins were coming in on a Viking cruise from Amsterdam and we wanted to upgrade their room to the gorgeous river view for an anniversary present. When the manager heard it was their 20th, he made...

We stayed here for 1 night before our river cruise. We chose this hotel so we could explore the Buda side and take advantage of the view. Our river cruise was docked one night in Budapest so we saw the Pest side from the ship once we boarded. It was the perfect combination of locations to explore the whole city....

Having previously stayed in the other Hilton in Budapest I wanted to try this one. The location is completely unique, located inside of a castle on top of a hill with stunning views. The hotel is located in a traffic restriction zone so you can walk the area really easily. Rooms are a good size, well maintained and if you...

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us this time in the Buda side. I am very happy to read that our UNESCO World Heritage Castle Hill location, the matchless view to nearby tourist attractions have been so impressive. Stayed at this hotel as part of Viking River Cruise accommodations. The hotel was clearly not ready for about 150 passengers from our ship. It was chaos checking in. The check in staff was not overly friendly. We were disappointed when our room faced an alley so-to-speak. The WiFi was terrible. Many in our group had trouble checking into it....

Arrived here on Friday 3rd July and couldn't believe our luck.. Firstly, we were given a room with a view, and as other contributors have said, the view is unbelieveable. We hadn't booked a room with a Danube/City view but were given one, I assume if there's any left it's a first come, first served basis but it totally left...

When we arrive to the hotel, they were under construction, so they gave us a better room and some extras for the inconvenience. The breakfast was owesome with a lot of things to choose. The views were perfect, near the river and almost in front of the Parliament. Outside the hotel is the Castle. The only inconvenience were the works.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
