I stayed in honey hostel in April with 2 friends for 3 nights and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We arrived at almost 1am after taking public transport from the airport and even though we had some trouble finding the hostel (there is only a very small sign on an otherwise normal looking apartment building) the late check...

Honey Hostel is a very good choice of accomodation when staying in Budapest. I stayed in a private room for 3 nights. All rooms were very clean and the overall atmosphere was homely and welcoming. Hostel is central, in walking distance to all major attractions. Was initially a little hard to find as the hostel sign is quite small and...

Stayed there for New Year's. Very nice, clean room and bathrooms. Eszter is very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Tea and coffee are a nice touch, also. The only thing is that it happened to be a little chilly in the room late in the afternoon when the radiators went off. But it wasn't all that bad....

I am very disappointed about the reservation at this Hostel. I have arrived there with my parents at 9 o'clock pm, a freaky area, with strange people around. There was no sign outside or something that there is a hostel at the street it mentioned on the site, only a 3 per 5 cm wrote on something Honey Hostel call...

Me and 2 female friends stayed at Honey Hostel while in Budapest during a tour of Europe - we stayed in about 15 different hostels and this was one of the best! Lovely room and lovely bathroom facilities. Spacious and clean and such a homely place it hardly felt like a hostel at all! Eszter checked us in and took...

We stayed in July 2015 for 1 night. The room is in a small hostel with four rooms and two bathrooms. Clean room, renovated bathroom. The host was very friendly and we could pay with Euros. The hostel is in a lively area (many bars), however the room was very quiet. 20 Minutes walking to the old town city centre....

Although the building is old inside is totally diferent. Nice rooms and bathrooms. From my point of view the limited thickness of the door of our dormitory doesn't stop the noise from the corridor in the mornings, it is made of glass so neither stop the light in the night when someone go to the bathroom. The parquet was terribly...

I booked the hostel 5 hours before coming, so that was the first thing that striked me as very positive. The girl who is taking care of the hostel replied in less than an hour by sending me an e-mail with all the information regarding how to find the hostel, etc. She is very pleasant and friendly person and also...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

“Stayed in a larger room and from the photos of the smaller one I would recommend the large one. Don't be put off by the old rickety lift, the hostel is recently renovated.”
