If you need a hotel with a great location, fantastic rooms and friendly helpful staff look no further than the Buddha-bar hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite which was lovely with a bedroom upstairs too! Heated toilet seat was a surprise!! Great location for Danube, hop on hop off bus and Budapest Keleti train station...

A nice located hotel with beautiful spacious rooms with a fresh look, a good welcome at reception, a delicious breakfast in the morning. Hotel is worth every star. Spacious bathroom, but for me a little too deep and large bath, but it will at some also an advantage certainly not as critical,

This spa was disappointing. Had a hot stone massage, which was lovely but felt 'prescriptive' rather than individual. Had a booking at the time they opened and little touches weren't done - for example the candles weren't lit on the way to the treatment room, but were when we came out. 'Pool' is very small, only room for 3 or...

Went with a lot of expectations considering some of the reviews but it was quite a let down. The decor is quite different. Not many people may like the red and golden decor. The food was oily and not really authentic asian. The service though was good.

The room is perfect for a couple. Honeymoon or anniversity. Walking to a lot of places to eat and shopping. The room and the bathroom are big and the breakfast included a lot of variety and natural options.

Very stylish hotel, very comfortable and nice spa. Good base for a Budapest break just off the main shopping street, short walk to the Danube. Close to train and bus stops. Interesting remote control toilet seat. Breakfast was a bit pricey so ate local.

I'm Hungarian. Of course ld talk home. But no. In Hungary despite the political s system s caused depression doesn't ruin a fab stay. Please do visit the spas. Széchenyi looks great but in fact Lukács is the best place to relax and eat out great supper. People are lovely and helpful.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
