We stayed here for our first three nights in Budapest, and I would recommend it in a heartbeat!!!! We had the economy room, which was on the European 4th floor. The bathroom and bedroom were separated by stairs, but it was our private bathroom. We actually really liked the set up. The air conditioner worked great and was remote controlled....

The room was spacious and clean. The location is close to the metro and to the market hall. The staff were kind and helpful, they gave us very good tips where to go and explained how to move around the city. The breakfast was also good especially the coffee. I had a great time here with my friend so we...

We found Butterfly in Rick Steves's tour guide of Budapest. It was an excellent choice. The hosts, Andras and Timea and their 'right arm', Roland, could not do enough to help us maximize our visit from booking the river cruise and Parliament tours for us on-line, to their attention to our in-room needs. Budapest can be daunting, and we felt...

Before arriving I contacted the hotel about transport from the airport and Andras organised a taxi who was waiting for us in arrivals and added it to the bill so we didn’t have to worry about exchanging money once we arrived. Location is fantastic, only a 5 minute walk to Great Market Hall but in a quiet side street close...

We had a gread stay here. We loved every moment here. They did not treat us as guest, but they treated us as, if we where part of there family. Andras and Timea ( the owner couple) and Roland them right hand were extremely nice and helpful. It was nothing to much trouble for them. They absolutely went out them...

Andras the owner arranged the cab from the Airport to the Hotel. It was really welcoming, The Room was beautiful, comfortable king size bed and nice bathroom. The Wifi worked perfectly. This was our first trip to Budapest and we stayed here three nights. The location was great; we could walk to lots of restaurants, cafes, and sites, plus convenient to public transportation. Andras and his staff were very welcoming and helpful, arranging rides from the train station and to the airport, loaning towels and selling vouchers to the baths, making...

If and whe we go back to Budapest, this would be our first choice. Not only did Andeas, the owner arrange a cab to pick us up at the airport, the manager came out and took our luggage up stairs. Great location next to a good restaurant and the metro and Danube, but Budapest is definitely a walking city so...

We arrived after a long drive only to find out that apparently what we thought we received as a confirmation for our stay didn't guarantee our room. After waiting outside for a long time while ringing the doorbell, we were told that we had been emailed (we weren't) advising that we needed to provide credit card details (there was no...

This was our first stay at a B&B but whether it was beginners luck or otherwise, we were spot on with this excellent choice. Andras` initial welcome email was chock full of useful info from reserving a taxi to the best cambios to convert euros. Best of all its location is excellent. On arrival we were given an overview of...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
