We stayed in an apartment on the top floor during the month of July when temperatures outside were in the early 30s. Sadly, the receptionist had not had the foresight to prepare and check the property to ensure it was ready for our arrival – it was even hotter inside the apartment. The temperature was unbearable - she hadn't bothered... More

The location is superb, you couldn't ask for better. The room was clean, the staff were helpful, if a little hard to get a hold of. We had to pay cash. One drawback was the lack of A/C and two fans that weren't great, which meant some stuffy nights on hot days.

This apartment doesn’t look even close to the pictures on the booking.com, it is very dirty, the couch was full of stains, the fridge had ice and water inside and it was also dirty on the outside, we had to clean a bit ourselves in order to be able to store our food, the balcony door was broken, the kitchen... We stayed here for four nights last week. From the other reviews we nearly changed to another place because it sounded like it was a hit or miss as to whether people liked it or not. We loved it! Yes it is in one of the busiest streets in Budapest, opposite the busiest ruin bar which had queues outside every... More

The nice description of the apartment given on the web site does not really reflect the reality. The kitchen is very sparsely equipped, just down to the bare minimum or even below, e.g. no knife to cut the bread. Just one towel per person is also substandard, and one set of keys for 4 persons is also not sufficient. For... More

Dear Guest, Unfortunately your review is what doesn't really reflect the reality of the apartment. Everything provided in our apartment of the same caliber as most apartments here in Budapest. The damage in the apartment chair was indeed the reason for us holding back the 30 euro. In essence the cost of the chair replacement is considerably more. Thus your... More

The apartments were very neat and well furnished. Natalie was a great help. As the properties they were handling were all full we could not get early check-in. Natalie arranged for our luggage to be stored. There is a lift in the building. After checking out they will store your luggage but till 6 pm. Most things on the Pest... More

We are currently staying at paradise apartments for a week. We love the apartment. It's big, clean and has everything that we need. Full kitchen and washing machine. We are at the back of the building and it's very quiet. The apartment is across the road from a great bar complex called Szimpla Kert and a food truck park. Also... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
