Hot water has to be obtained from the coffee-maker. Result : The tea tasted like coffee. The hotel could not offer a real solution to this problem. This is the only reason, I...

The good: good location, front desk personal and fast repairs. The bad: 1. The new owner charges 20 euro pp for breakfast for the worst restaurant breakfast we ever had in Europe. The breakfast had only one hot entry, eggs, and the rest were cold cuts. There were no sausages, potatoes nor steamed veggies. The waiters and a cook (eggs)...

We stayed here for two days and were blown away by this hotel. The room was massive, spotless and had a free standing bath and separate shower/WC. Really nice part of the city, walking distance from river and several sights. Great restaurants nearby. Definitely the place to stay!

I checked having booked late with booking.com. Fabulous "boutique" style with a lovely lobby and cosy bar. My room overlooked the Parliament building as I was on the 5th floor. Staff were very good and recommended a good restauarant to me as I was entertaining suppliers. Just a reallly love.yplace to stay in a noce area. I thought the room...

We started our 16 day tour of Central Europe in one of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe. The city itself, along the Danube is just wonderful. It is worthy of the time and effort to visit this city, one of the greatest ones in Europe. We have been to Paris, Madrid, Lisbon, Rome, Lucerne, Vienna, Venice, Malaga,...

In the centre of Budapest the Iberostar grand hotel makes us to love it. The view from the window in the fountains and their smooth sound (when the window was opened) were the best and the clean room was spectacular. We realy-realy liked the comfortable oversize bed and we certainly enjoyed the position of bathtub and the big shower. Also,...

The hotel is just next to the Szabadsag Ter which is one of the nicest historical squares in Budapest. The rooms are state of the art design but offering also enough space next to the bed. The quality of the breakfast is also excellent, they serve all the traditional food (ham, salmon, cheese etc) but of high quality. In addition,...

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
