Just returned from a weekend stay at the Continental Hotel Zara with my mum to celebrate my 40th birthday. The hotel has a luxury feel without the huge price tag. Many of the original features of the old spa bath building still exist in the lobby. Rooms are tastefully decorated. Ours was a bit small but ok for 3 nights...

Excellent stay at Zara Continental Hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar. It was compact but everything that was needed was supplied. Very good location close to everything. Restaurant was very good too. Terrific value.

This is a reasonably priced hotel in a good location for the city centre, taking around 15-20 minutes to walk in. Parking in the street outside was easy for pick-ups and drop-offs. The hotel was clean with plenty of obliging staff on hand. We stayed in a standard room and although well-equipped it was rather small with only a view...

Dear Antony A, Thank you very much for your feedback after your recent stay. As I can see you are a big traveler. I am very sorry to read that although you were mostly satisfied with the hotel, we got only three points due to the fact your room was facing the courtyard. Other guests prefer it as it is...

We have just come from a spartan existence on the CAMINO de Santiago and to arrive late to this hotel was bliss. The reception staff were attentive and professional. The features of our room were fully described by the luggage man and it is a gorgeous room. My big thing in Hotels is aspect but a huge mural of old...

Dear Susan T, Firsly congratulations for finishing your „duty”! Our Revenue and Reservation Manager is just at the middle of it, he has started El Camino two weeks ago! I also did some parts of it two times already, but never stayed in hotels.... I am very happy to read that you found the Reception staff attentive and professional, and...

Very stilish hotel, garage, top executive room with balcony, friendly staff. The restaurant offers french and hungarian cuisine of highest standard, much better as you would expect of a hotel restaurant. The location is not really central (20 min walk to the nice quarters near the danube). Hop on hop of busses nearby, but the system is not satisfying -...

We stayed recently and mostly only have good things to say. From the start, before booking I enquired with a few hotels regarding possible local taxes etc, this hotel were excellent in responding. They also insisted in giving my partner a small gift from the hotel for my partners 40th (the main reason for our visit). During our visit they...

Dear nickandtash, Thank you very much to share your opinion about the hotel with other travelers. I am very happy that - although you have some criticism about the service at the Galery Café – you were satisfied with the location of the hotel and with your breakfast. Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
