We recently stayed in this hostel for 4 nights. Firstly make sure you read the address of the hostel properly as google maps defaults a different location which is a 10-15 minute walk away. The staff were really nice and waited up for us despite us arriving at midnight. The hostel had a nice homely feel, it was not a...

Hostel is in big renovated apartment in old building, everything is authentic. Nice and clean rooms, clean shared bathroom, very quite. It is well located. Very good equipped shared kitchen. We would stay there again!

On arrival to Budapest we called the hostel staff as we had no idea how to get there, they gave clear and easy instructions so we arrived in no time. They had a better spare room available, so they upgraded us at no extra cost giving us our own private loo and a small kitchenette. It was well located within...

We stayed here for four nights in Room #1. It's a very nice converted apartment with friendly staff members who are available when you check in and from 9am-11am daily. Unfortunately, the rowdy street noise was very loud--drunk folks shouting and walking from bar to bar from 10pm-4am. We stayed on Friday--Monday (August 20--the Hungarian National Holiday), so that could...

It was a very nice, clean hostel with a good location for some of the nightlife however a bit of a walk to castle hill etc but it wasn't too bad. The staff are very helpful. They helped us find somewhere to stay an extra night at short notice. It is more like a converted apartment. There is no common...

Fantastic hostel with brilliant and helpful staff and service. The location is a bit of a surprise; never expected it to be amongst other apartments and flats. No signage from the front so that makes it hard to locate the place if you're there by foot, but if you're traveling from the airport or train station, the customer service center...

This location was a bit of a surprise to me upon arrival - it's really a converted flat in an apartment building. In the end I appreciated the "living in Budapest" feel of being in this neighborhood with groceries, parks, churches, bars and restaurants very close by. The staff was very helpful, but not on site except at appointed times...could...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

    Neighbourhood Profile
    District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
