Great price we paid as we booked on lastminute.com, wasn’t expecting much to be honest but when we arrived we was blown away with the hotel, we know it’s not peak season but still couldn’t believe we managed to get this place for such a great price.

The staff are very attentive, on arrival we noticed the many awards the hotel has received which is always a great thing to see.

We was given a brand new apartment on the 3rd floor, we was lucky as refurbishment work has stopped so that was great, the room itself is very spacious and newly decorated, if I was to be a little bit critical then the shower is a little small for a person of my height 6ft 4 but that’s ok as we cannot please everyone. The shower can be very slippery so this may need to be adjusted in the future, maybe a shower Matt will help this and the silicone finish around the sink should be re done again.

To be honest these are small snagging issues that can be rectified quickly, you get a fully functional kitchen and a great size TV.

Staff are always friendly which is great.

The hotel looks really modern and cleaned to high standards.

Breakfast comes with the cost of the room, unfortunately the breakfast selection could be a bit more as it’s very small, I did notice it was a bit of a struggle for people to move around the space. However it’s free so cannot be to critical......

Location is great, in the middle of the city, no place is really better when you can get to everything in a walking distance.

Family of four; we were all extremely happy with Opera Garden during our six day stay just before Christmas. We booked online and started communication by email to plan our itinerary and the hotel was prompt and answered all our questions. They helped us while we were there as well to make the most of our stay in this beautiful city.
We stayed in one of the apartments which is very spacious for the family with two floors and a double bed on each floor, renovated rooms, bathroom and a small kitchenette. Rooms were cleaned daily and the breakfast was extremely good with plenty of choices for anyone.
The location is a minute walk from the Opera house and metro, which was very easy to navigate (get the 24 hour pass for a family of four for value). It is also a five minute walk to St Stephen's church where the lovely Christmas market was.
Down the road towards the Opera is Circo, a small pizzeria with great pizza and trendy ambiance where you can also get the pizza to go and eat in the room, a nice option. The hotel also recommended a couple of wonderful Hungarian restaurants as well.
Great location, fair, value for money etc. they recommended an exchange house also down the street that gave great rates for your dollars and euros.
Thank you to the hotel and staff for a comfortable and happy stay. Would choose it again anytime if we go back to Budapest!

A great modern hotel in a great location for exploring Budapest, as well as helpful staff available 24/7 on reception, great food at breakfast, free internet access all over hotel, and rooms cleaned daily.

Although Hotel is central and in a good location, the city is so big a method of public transport is advisable in order to see what you would like to see in the short time you may have during a city break. We used Bolt which works just like Uber in the UK due to the great location of the hotel this never really cost us anything more than 3000HFT (excluding thermal baths which we never did)

Would definitely stay again if I was to return to Budapest 👍🇭🇺

A wonderful stay this February half term. We were in an on-site apartment, which (despite the name) is actually just across the main hotel in a block with hotel residents / non hotel residents. The apartment itself was huge and exactly like the photos. It was in a perfect location on a pedestrianised street but sound was not an issue due to triple glazing. The apartment was clean and spacious with incredibly comfortable beds.

The breakfast quality exceeded our expectations but inconsistent. Sometimes we had to wait for the food, clean plates, clean cutlery but we weren't in a rush so not a huge issue. Their yoghurt and fruit pots are to die for!

The roof terrace and free mulled wine were lovely little extras. We did not try the wellness centre.

In summary, it was perfect in every way and had it not been for the air con issue, it would have been a 5.

Upon arrival we noticed that the room was 23 degrees downstairs and 24 upstairs where the kids were sleeping. We set the aircon to 19 and went to sleep. The following day when we returned from our day out we opened the windows to get some air in, then set the aircon to 20. However noticed that the aircon was still pumping out hot air. We all awoke at 4am due to the heat that night and opened the windows, but the noise meant we had to shut them again. We mentioned it at breakfast and the staff was apologetic and said they would switch into manual so we could turn it off. We returned that night and said as this made no difference, we'd like to put the air con on, and were told that it was not possible, as due to the time of the year it was all centrally controlled and seat to heat. Therefore on the last night we had no choice but to sleep with the windows open. The rooms never dropped below 23.

All in all, had this not been an issue, we'd have given 5 stars. Despite the aircon, we'd return to the hotel/ apartments in the future with out any hesitation as the location and price made it incredibly worth while.

Dear „TheLynams”, First and foremost, I would like to thank you very much for taking your time to share your excellent ratings and review with us. It is great to see how satisfied you were during your city break in Budapest. I was happy to read that you were totally satisfied with the comfort, size and cleanness of the room, and I am also happy that you could get a good night’s sleep, which is a really important factor. Thank you very much also for highlighting our rich breakfast selection, and a little touch as our home-made yoghurt with forest fruits. I hope that the minor inconveniences regarding the breakfast did not affect your overall experience, we are constantly working on improving ourselves and reviews like yours make it much easier. Your satisfaction gives us the motivation to keep going with it, and reach the highest level. I was glad that you liked our little roof terrace which is very relaxing after a long day exploring the city. Hereby I would like to apologize for the inconvenience of the A/C caused you. We check every A/C to avoid similar issues in the future. I would like to thank you again for your lovely feedback and for your recommendation. If you would ever plan to visit Budapest, we would be honoured to have you as our guest again!

Very nice and comfortable hotel in the centre of Budapest. Very clean, comfortable bed, air condition and also very quiet. We were very satisfied.
When we arrived in the room was personal letter from manager who invited us and including bottle of red wine. We appreciated it very much. They were very kind.
Because time after corona, breakfast was served in the basket front of room door and coffee was available in the room and also downstairs was coffee machine. Fresh bread, croisant and even bottle of champagne.

Expensive parking - 22€ per night so we parked on the street for free.
Room´s doors in the hotel was banging very loudly so it was very bothering whole day/night. It needs more comfortable and quiet closing in general.
Shower room was extremely small but its building construction and cannot be easily changed.
Breakfast in basket was little bit poor. I will appreciate some butter, ham, eggs but I think its question of personal taste.

Dear „bujin123”, Let me start by saying how much we all appreciate your excellent rating about your stay in Opera Garden Hotel & Apartments! I was pleased to read that you had such an enjoyable and comfortable time with us. In addition, I would like to thank you for all the kind words regarding the room facilities and the small touches that we practise to make our guests’ holiday more pleasent. Your satisfaction gives us the motivation to keep going with it, and raech the highest level. As you mentioned, our breakfast basket service serves the protection of our guests’ health, so we tried to make a good selection of food that will meet everyone’s needs. I am really sorry if you had lack of something. Next time please just let our experienced colleagues know about your needs, so we can try to fulfill them. Furthermore, I would like to apologize if you found the parking a bit expensive. Unfortunately in the centre of Budapest it is not as cheap wherever you park. Due to the pandemic situation the parking was free on the street until 1st July, so I was glad to read that eventually you could find an appropriate place for your car. Let me tell you how sorry I am to see that the noise of the doors bothered your rest. As we always work on developing, we will definitely examine this problem. Thank you very much for your remark. Unfortunately the size of the bathroom is a given attribute of the building, but I am very sorry if it affected your stay negatively. Let me thank you once more your gentle and detailed feedback. We all hope that we would have the chance to welcome you back!

We stayed here for 3 nights, me, my husband and 12 year old daughter. We had an apartment in the building opposite the main hotel building which was ideal for us. It had a separate bedroom upstairs for us and a fold out sofa bed downstairs for our daughter so we had some privacy. It had a kitchenette, fridge, sink, hob microwave, kettle, coffee machine, crockery and cutlery. Bathroom had good shower, no bath. Everything very clean and modern. There is a very small gym (a treadmill and a bike) and a sauna. The hotel serves a nice breakfast, although it can get busy at certain times. Staff are friendly and helpful and speak excellent English. Wi-Fi works well and the rooms have air conditioning. The hotel is centrally located, but on a side street so our room was quiet, no street noise. Obviously Budapest is a large city and the tourist sights are quite spread out so it isn’t possible to be close to everything that you might want to see. This hotel is on the Pest side of the river. It’s a few minutes walk to St Stephens church and not too far from the Parliament. One of the bridges across the river to Buda is closed so it takes longer than it would normally to walk across to the castle district. It’s definitely worth using the metro, it’s cheap safe and reliable and saves a lot of shoe leather. But the blue line is undergoing renovation and is replaced by a bus, so bear this in mind when planning your route. The hotel is close to Deak Ferenc square where the airport bus drops off, it costs about £2.50. There are plenty of good places to eat and drink nearby. Can recommend a visit to the zoo if you have kids, also the hospital in the rock. This was our second visit to Budapest and if we come again we would probably stay at the Opera Garden again.

This hotel is so well located just a 10 minutes walk from the basilica, lots of bars and restaurants nearby. All the staff from reception, cleaners to the breakfast waiters were young, helpful and very friendly. Couldn’t fault them. The hotel has a really personal feel, and although the breakfast area is small the food was great with a really good selection. The only issue with the bedroom which was always immaculately cleaned, was the lack of storage space for clothes. A large amount of space was taken up by the kitchen area which we never used. We did ask for more coat hangers as there were only 6 between the 2 of us. They never arrived. A little bit of noise outside the hotel in the early hours on a couple of nights but in generally fairly quiet. Would highly recommend this hotel

Cannot fault this hotel at all. Friendly staff, beautiful hotel, rooms are spotless and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is lovely and there is plenty of choice. Rooms were cleaned daily and there is a tv in the room with a good range of channels for shows/music. There is also complimentary fruits, biscuits and tea/mulled wine in reception everyday. We were also given late checkout free or charge on our last day! Hotel is very close to a lot of the main attractions and walkable distance from everything else! Couldn’t recommend the hotel enough :)

I usually travel to Budapest for Business quite often, so I had the opportunity to try out many available accommodation there.
Opera Garden is the first I felt like deserve a review.
The staff is helpful and always smiling, the rooms look brand new and clean, I felt like I was the first to sleep there.
The room is comfortable and I like the handwritten note of welcome is very thoughtful.
The building is quiet which was a surprise because it is so close to the centre, I was expecting to sacrifice a good night sleep for saving time commuting to my meetings.
I definately check this hotel first for future visits to Budapest.
