nice rooms, nice linen, clean, everything works. Location very good in central Budapest, close to business centre stock exchange etc. Only downside to the hotel is the eating and drinking areas a bit sombre. Breakfast served in a basement, no windows etc. Food fine, self service, basic but functional. There is a swimming pool at the same level as well....

If you are planning to use your room only to sleep and shower and then spend the rest of the day roaming the city, then by all means this hotel is perfect. Although at that point you might as well choose cheaper one, always in the same area -there are plenty of them. Smallish, clean rooms, modern fixtures, and fast...

Beautiful view from the hotel. The suite was excellent. Central location: few steps from the cathedral and walking distance from the main touristic attractions in Budapest. I will consider Hotel President for a future trip to Budapest.

I would not give it four stars. Rather old hotel. But a very quiet, superb place right in the centre. Clean, simple and very basic. So if you do not overpay, go for it. I was staying there by myself and found it reasonable in terms of quality versus price.

this hotel has rates around 45€/night and you'll get what you pay for: a room with some basic ammenities like (small) TV, shower/tub, free Wifi, bed - decor is somehow modern but also a mix of past-soviet times and 2010 or so..... Location is perfect: away from noisy streets and very central (which makes me to vote 3of5 instead of...

I visited this hotel for business travel and i was really disappointed. Hotel is good situated but the pillows are thin and very bad quality. Breakfast was very poor, they don't have espresso machine so the coffee was very bad. During my stay was raining and I asked on the reception for umbrella, the receptionist responded me that they don't...

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night visit to this hotel. It's clean well maintained and the bedroom looked recently refurbished. The only negatives I can report are very hard mattresses and sometimes the cold water tap in the hand basin ran hot making brushing teeth interesting. Also I was very disappointed not to be able...

The location of this hotel is fantastic for exploring Budapest. The only downside to this hotel in my opinion are the beds. They are extremely hard and the pillows are thin and small, not really 4 stair quality - more 2 star. We ordered extra duvet covers and used these as mattress toppers which helped somewhat. We were a party...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
