Great position, easy to reach, clean and cozzy rooms, nice breakfast, polite stuff, very close to margaret's island and close to Nyugati Metro station. You can go to down town center even on foot. It's recommended

It is my second stay here and I must say it seems like nothing has changed for the better or has at least been maintained at the same level as last summer. The room was the same, nice but with the windows facing the inner yard. The bathroom shower was not working properly but after speaking about it to the...

A nice and quiet hotel, located near the train station and the big city mall, and not far from the center of the city (Vaci street). Near the hotel you can find a lot of restaurants (about 500 meters from the hotel there's an Italian restaurant that I sure want to come back there to eat). The room is of...

This hotel is not exactly downtown but is within walking distance. As it is situated instead on the Ring Road near the bridge to Margaret Island, it is nice and quiet. The room is a decent size as is the washroom. the breakfast buffet was fine but the coffee machine was broken for six of the seven nights I stayed...

My friend and I fancied a short stay in Budapest and needed to be central and reasonably priced. We choose the Marmara hotel. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The shower was fantastic and there was even a hair dryer which saved on suitcase space, toiletries were supplied also. The bed was comfy and the bedding nice and warm,...

A central hotel in the heart of Budapest, Marmara used to be a very good choice for business travellers or anyone really. Some issues with breakfast and the staff, but certainly edible, otherwise a pleasant hotel for the price. It is one thing that on many fronts they let their establishment, which is less than ten years old fall into...

We spent a weekend in Budapest to visit the Christmas markets. This hotel was clean and comfortable and only a 10 minute walk to St Stephens Basilica. The rooms were very comfortable but I think most of the rooms overlook the breakfast room, so I don't think there are many with good views. Reception staff were generally helpful and polite

We arrived late in the evening and everything was perfect. The check-in was done within minutes. We arrived in the room where we found a complimentary fruit basket and greetings from the staff. The hotel is great, very clean, the breakfast is wonderful. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Would definitely return here!

this was our fourth visit to Budapest over the last few years. We love the place. Usually we stay at the Bristol hotel near keleti station - an excellent hotel. This year, an offer came up for the Marmara so we took the opportunity to stay in a different part of town. The hotel is in a good location about...

Well I will say it was an experience, neither good nor bad. We booked through Low costs holidays, who went bust. So we rebooked our superior room directly with the hotel. 2 weeks after returning home I am still trying to work out what was superior about the room. It was clean and big, but sparse. The bathroom had the...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
