Most staff at reception is charming and helpful especially the young gentlemen. There is one young lady who better learn how to treat and speak to hotel guests while they still come. Nasty comments like Not my Problem when asking for help is a huge turn off. As well as trying to get you to do her job is ridicules....

Comfortable Hotel easy to reach from the Airport (Metro Nyugati) and close to the main tourist attractions of Budapest. The rooms (at least those on the internal side) are quiet even if a little bit warm (at night we slept with the window ajar). Breakfast is acceptable. Cleanliness to improve. Very good ratio quality/price.

We stayed there for a business trip and we were very disappointed. Quality of breakfast very poor, bed terrible, reception services unprofessional. Definitly not the value for the money they ask. It is low end of 3 stars standard, tired and unhappy.

Rooms. Almost no lightening in the room. Sheets and curtains were wrinkled. Breakfast. Not worth trying. Very poor and cheap. No even fresh squeezed orange juice. 1 type of sausages with paprika and scrambled eggs. Parking. Ridiculously small and not client-friendly. Seemed to be a trash bin for all hotel stuff. Also charging 20 EUR per night for the hotel...

This is a rather basic hotel. The room we were given was small and somewhat dark. During busy times lifts are a little hard to access. Breakfasts are uninspired and the restaurant has a very soviet feel to it. Having said all that there are many plus points to the hotel as well. The staff at reception were generally very...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location was good- walking distance to the centre and sights. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was very small and stuffy and we felt quite cramped and a bit uncomfortable. The room was hot and the air conditioner would not work, so we had to leave the window open for the...

Last December, my wife and I visited the beautiful city of Budapest and we stayed at the Marmara Hotel for four nights. We enjoyed a very confortable room, excellent breakfast, and all the facilities of the Hotel but, as always, the most important thing was the excellent service we received from the staff. In particular, from a young lady named...

Beautiful Turkish-style decoration. Good location - 10 minute walk to the city center and very close to West End shopping mall. We always walked on the city but the hotel area has undergound, bus and tram stations available. Staff was not always very welcoming. Our room was very small and unfortunately not very clean - dusty floor, furniture, bathroom -...

We found the hotel ideal for our needs but would have preferred to stay in the centre of this beautiful City. Being outside the centre we used the trams, metro and the railway station as they were not too far away. We walked about ten minutes to several bars and a really good restaurant. The bed was comfortable, and the...

Very nice hotel, great location! You can get anywhere by foot. Breakfast was good. Room was nice but small. Little loud during the night, but I guess it is because of the great location - center of the city.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
