The hotel is fantastic, with its unique atmosphere, stylish antique lion legs bath tube, romantic and vintage rooms. I love this boutique hotel. Every floor has a specialty. Spent there two days, would come back any time.

We stayed in November for four days, Exceptionally well located and easy accessed from airport on no 200e bus, buy tickets at airport, Room delightfully quaint , as was bathroom , well equipped , hairdryer very powerful, usual toiletries , lovely tables, tv with English channels. Bed the most comfortable I ever slept in , fridge in room for use,...

This is a charming small hotel in a great location. It is set back a bit from the one of the main streets of the city and therefore very quiet. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished and very clean. There is no real front desk so it is more like an apartment. The staff is available when needed and...

Situated above a lovely café/restaurant, the rooms are in an elegant old building. Lot of road digging going on nearby but didn't cause any noticeable noise problems. Quite a climb to rooms up spiral staircase but lift available for the lazy. Comfortable beds, adequate toilet facilities. Excellent central location to explore wonderful city. Odd that reception is done by café...

The so called "Delux" rooms are very average and rather noisy. You will hear your neighbour for sure. The bathroom is not well equipped at all: no shampoo, no conditioner and 2 small tubes of shower gel for 4 nights...the whole place is very uncomfortably skimpy. The worst is the breakfast: no buffet, but a la carte in the cafe...

I was disappointed by my accommodations at Gerloczy Rooms deLux. The picture showed a lovely room with a balcony overlooking a park. The room we were assigned did have a stand up shower as requested. The park was turned into a construction site by the city. The room was extremely small with a bed. The chairs were two straight back...

What a fabulous boutique hotel and wonderful dining establishment. Visited for two nights with my girlfriend...with amazing assistance from the management and staff...she is now my fiancée. Wow wow wow!

Like others who have reviewed this place, I agree that the location is the most positive thing going for it. The name, Gerloczy Rooms is appropriate as it is not really a hotel. A better description would be "rooms above a cafe" There is no lobby with personnel awaiting your arrival. We missed the side door that leads inside the...

The book cover is better than the book in this case, but it's pretty OK for the price. Just disappointing when your expectations, based on the photos and reviews, are quite high. I upgraded to a deluxe room, but it was not as deluxe as the photos would have you believe. Service was good, though, and everything clean. So all...

First and foremost, the location is very good. Walking distance to a multitude of restaurants and shops, as well as the metro. Overall I left not thrilled with my stay. The room was very spacious, but the bed was so uncomfortable it was hard to get a good night's sleep. The service was lacking and you could feel that the...

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
