Actually, one should not advertise when finding such a lovely place and keep it to himself. We have known the Straseks for over a decade and going to Porto Roz is going to Alenka and Victor, the owners of the B&B. We have tried a few other places off season when Strasek was closed. But for us there is no...

My family had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Garni Strasek! The location was perfect. Rooms are clean bright. Breakfast was enjoyable and served with a smile. The Strasek are very warm and friendly!

This is a very lovely b&b. Upon arrival Viktor and Alenka made us feel at home. What we loved about this b&b : - spacious room (we had a room on the ground floor) - very clean - comfortable beds - good shower and towels - quiet location - although in the proximity there is an entertainment hall which from...

This is a wonderful family run B & B in Portoroz. It is up on the hill just above the town. 50 meters to the bus station. Walking distance to everything, yet quiet, clean, personable. We had 4 great nights there and would definitely return. Breakfast was very nice with freshly made coffee, etc.

From the first email, Viktor & Alenka did everything to make us feel welcome. We definitely felt that they took pride in their B&B and were genuinely willing to help guests enjoy their stay. They were helpful and provided a lot of useful tips. The rooms were modern, impeccably clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great and generous. There...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in late May 2012. This quaint b&b is run by a friendly couple who provide excellent service, a high quality breakfast and clean rooms in a quiet but central location. The b&b is within walking distance of cafes, bars, restaurants and the beach, yet is hidden a few streets away making...

we stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't have been more pleased. Really recommend the top-floor room with a balcony (great view). The owners are so nice, the breakfast was delicious and generous and it's a minute walk away from the bus stop, grocery store, beach and downtown area. We love Portoroz and Piran and loved Garni Strasek!

I stayed at this Garni just for one night, and I would definitely recommend it. The location is just perfect: a few minutes walk from the centre, but in a quiet side street. The room was spacious, the owners kind, and a nice big breakfast was included.

This is a perfect place to stay in Portoroz and also I would recommend staying here in Portoroz instead of trying to stay in Piran. The bus to Piran stops 75 metres from the Garni Strasek and takes about 10 minutes and costs 1 Euro. The hotel is also 3 minutes from the beach and main streets with all the...

We stayed here for 6 nights this August and rated it very highly. The rooms are a nice size, clean and comfortable with new modern en-suite bathrooms. The Breakfast is excellent and the owners make you feel very welcome indeed. It is also located very centrally being 2mins from the centre of Portoroz and the beach.

“We enjoyed the rooms on the bottom floor that opened to a nice lawn so our daughter could run around in the grass. The property sits up high so you can overlook the village and enjoy coffee or drinks on a nice café style table.”
