We stayed at Joannes farm for the new year;s holiday. we had a lovely stay. Our host was so nice, he cooked us delicious meals and we had a great wine tasting (the local wine is delicious). The place is very clean and spacious....in my opinion, the pictures don't make it justice. The only things I didn't like at this b&b...

Great location, spectacular views of the glowing wine fields. Duplex appartment was spacious, clean and just fine. Great, homemade breakfast. Fantastic wines, sorry we didn't buy more! Had a great time! (visited in july 2013)

We, a group of friends, have visited the Joannes winery and restaurant this weekend. Our overall satisfaction was high, because of the very good local food&wine (local cuisine!), fair prices and friendly service. We felt welcome and will gladly come back again in the future. Everything was very pristine and we felt appreciated as guests. Keep up the good work!

LOVED IT! Gregor is an amazing host & so friendly to share his history about the working farm, not to mention an excellent cook! We arrived after dark (around 22:00), it's a small & winding road you seem to go on forever, but the GPS led us there perfectly. Key was hidden & we stayed in Room 2, there are...

Would you like a clean, quiet place to stay, with a delightful breakfast to greet you in the morning? Come here. The high ratings are well warranted and earned. Our host was so pleasant and kind. I would stay here again without hesitation. We only had the opportunity to eat breakfast on our stay, but dinner smelled very enticing. The...

We had the good fortune of finding Joannes as a recommendation from the tourist center in Maribor. What a find...a beautiful setting, fabulous food and Gregor had time to talk about his life, his country, and history. Wonderful accommodations with a great bed, quiet sleeping all in the middle of a vineyard. We traveled for 2 weeks and visited 5...

We stayed one night there...with very beautiful view through window…vineyards everywhere. You are not so far away from Maribor city Centre, but you could feel that you are at the Farmland…in the Country of wine and food. The restaurant has also very good food.

We wanted to stay here specifically from TA recommendations. This Farmhouse B&B is nestled in the mountains outside of Maribor. It is picturesque in every way. The house is surrounded by vineyards. It was not easy to find as the GPS was not correct, off by about 1 mile. Use the GPS coordinates to find, not the internet address. Best...

What a find..after a long journey to pull into a valley surrounded by a rural vineyard you can feel the serenity. We booked a 2 level room with a bedroom/family room on the lower floor and a lofted bedroom on top. Gregor the host provided a warm welcome and an interesting history of his family and despite the kitchen just...

We stayed one night at Tourist Farm Joannes and wished we had stayed a week. Beautiful country surroundings in the middle of vineyards. Gregor was an excellent host serving wonderful food and great wines. We even purchased a box before leaving. Would thoroughly recommend staying here if visiting Maribor.

“The previous reviews seemed to have better rooms than we had, but we never saw them and so cannot comment much. Our room was pretty stark. There was a downstairs double bed and another located in what appeared to be the attic at some time (roof slant!). It also had a cooktop which we did not use because of Gregor's great cooking!”
