I booked the night by phone asking for a double room. From the reception they told me they only had single rooms and therefore I asked for two rooms for 60 € each without breakfast. The cost of breakfast was € 25 per person which seems very high for this type of structure. With great disappointment, the room they assigned me had no bathroom in the room but only one bathroom was available for 5 rooms with a shared toilet. My room was a non-livable smoking room. I had to sleep with the window open all night. The mattress and pillow were impregnated with the smell of smoke. I also point out that a sign prohibiting smoking in the room is displayed on the reception desk. It is not possible that nobody noticed the bad smell of the room I occupied. I do not recommend this hotel
We stayed 1 night in the deluxe room and the space was perfect. We liked all the amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast (continental) is included and it's good. Parking is free and on premise. The hotel is just minutes away from Old Town, very convenient. The hotel's restaurant is next door and it's amazing!!!! I just wished the A/C would actually cool the room to a comfortable temperature. It was really hot outside and the A/C made the room a degree cooler and we needed more.
The G Design Hotel is about 10-15 minutes drive from city center. It's the only downside of this hotel. Otherwise, everything else is great! It's right off the freeway. It's a new hotel with plenty of free parking. The modern decor and big rooms are a plus. The only thing I found odd was the glass bathroom door. Great service with freshly made coffee, latte, espresso, etc for breakfast. If location is not issue, I highly recommend staying here.
Conveniently close to the motorway but definitely out of the city. Having a car is the only option. Rooms are big and clean, but the overall setting is a bit sterile. Service is fine. Probably I’d stay within the city centre next time I am in Ljubljana.
Great hotel, good service. Very modern, clean and big rooms. Breakfast is typical for these kind of hotels, nothing fancy, but every basic thing you need. Be aware : this is a bare business hotel, no special attractions, family services, spa or what ever. Basic and simple. Distance to old town is reasonable (about 7 km), bus just around the corner and taxi just a short wait (about10-15 € depending on the company - ask at the desk for a less expensive one). Only thing I dont't like (personal) is the carpet. I prefer hotels with tiles on the floor, much more hygienic.
