Nice experience, even though I'm too old to stay in a hostel! :) Good common space, excellent chicken wings at the bar, and a comfortable atmosphere. The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean. The area is in Metalkova, a wonderful area of bars, galleries, and clubs all with a counterculture theme in historic military buildings. Perfect distance from...

Very strange location and we spent ages trying to find it but eventually found it after walking through what looked like a council estate. The bedroom was a big mixed dorm and nothing prison like our room which was disappointing. Looks like you have to book a private room to get any of those features. However the beds were clean...

13 of us were put up with no problems at all. Every facility you could need or want. Good cheap bar, room was comfy and had enough space for 13, food was good in the restaurant and reasonably priced and welcoming and friendly staff.

Stay here in winter or spring. The beautiful buildings exude charm and show off then work of artists. Outside is grungy and street art is everywhere. The hostel is located close to the central station so catch a train there from Zagreb or Vienna. The staff are excellent. They are attentive and proactive and make your stay enjoyable. Our cell...

An East European jail would not be everybody's cup of tea, but then this is a place like no others. Impeccably clean with a good bar and restaurant. Incredibly well run - a unique hosteling experience. Even if that means waking up in a prison cell!

It was quite the experience staying here- a converted prison, which was a really interesting and special experience. The only thing I was slightly put off by was the toilet situation, but really it's such good value that I shouldn't complain: would definitely recommend to anyone who was in the area!

It's unique to be somewhere like this; a jail transformed into a hostel Positives: - New experience - Cheap prices - Cafes and hookas inside the hostel Negatives: - People hang out around it on weekends and start drinking in the streets, it's very safe and they make too much noise - very small rooms and not comfortable - Shared...

the people there were super helpful and nice. The whole hostel has a cool prison vibe to it. The rooms are small bit clean. That is more than I can say for the toilets. They were a little bit dirty but I guess that is to be expected during the busy holidays. The prices for the accommodation are relatively cheap...
