An East European jail would not be everybody's cup of tea, but then this is a place like no others. Impeccably clean with a good bar and restaurant. Incredibly well run - a unique hosteling experience. Even if that means waking up in a prison cell!

It was quite the experience staying here- a converted prison, which was a really interesting and special experience. The only thing I was slightly put off by was the toilet situation, but really it's such good value that I shouldn't complain: would definitely recommend to anyone who was in the area!

It's unique to be somewhere like this; a jail transformed into a hostel Positives: - New experience - Cheap prices - Cafes and hookas inside the hostel Negatives: - People hang out around it on weekends and start drinking in the streets, it's very safe and they make too much noise - very small rooms and not comfortable - Shared...

the people there were super helpful and nice. The whole hostel has a cool prison vibe to it. The rooms are small bit clean. That is more than I can say for the toilets. They were a little bit dirty but I guess that is to be expected during the busy holidays. The prices for the accommodation are relatively cheap...

Centrally located, 10 minute walk to downtown....rooms were great, except no bathroom and the guys bathroom was under repair while we were there so the bathroom was always busy and needed cleaning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar in the hostel was busy and fun spot. The city is amazing spend at least 3 days.

This hostel is truly unique. A former military jail it is definitely unique. We stayed in a four person room (small, but awesome) without bars on the fourth floor. It was truly a wonderfully decorated hostel and the staff was incredibly friendly. The location could be better, it is a bit of a walk to the hostel. There is a...

I have been here on 2005 march. It was wonderful. I had lots of memories about this hostel. You must stay here. In this hostel, you feel like a prisoner but same time feel like vip customer. I think ljubljana is the best city of europe and celica is the best hostel of Europe.

Arrived here after a full day of travel from Seville. Dog tired but the place was jumping, people out the front, live music pumping. Settled into our cell two hours later the music is still pumping, sounds like it’s just outside our window, when the music finally dies down sometime after 1am the post gig drunken yaba began, sounds like...

This is a former military jail in a former barracks now converted into a hostel with the cells now becoming hostel rooms complete with artwork. The rooms come complete with prison doors but you're free to come and go as you wish! It's in the artistic and edgy quarter known as Metelkova. Popular with free thinkers, anarchists and artists. But...

The hostel is built out of an old military prison, and they spent a ton of time remodeling it into an awesome and unique hostel. I've been in hundreds of hostels and this one is one of my favorite. The private cells are all completely unique, designed by artists, all with completely different themes. I would recommend this place to...
