This was by far the coolest hostel I have stayed at. Local artists stopped the prison from being torn down and designed the prison cells so each cell is unique. Cells hold 2-3 people so you can have a private room. Breakfast was decent but free and it was very easy to walk to the city center.

Such a cool concept. It's a prison layout but the rooms are quite specious. I'm not really a fan of hostels because of the whole shared bathroom concept. With this one however, it's very clean and ample. The showers are in separate cubicles and all have locks. The men's bathroom and shower room is separate. The staff are incredible welcoming... More

We didn´t expect too much, needed just place to spend a night. We could choose from available rooms the one we prefered. All this place was very clean, comfortably warm in the cold november night. There was live jazz band plaing downstairs, but at midnight it was quiet everywhere and we slept just great. Breakfast was excellent, variety of tasty food,... More

I want to thank to whoever made this former prision into a Hostel as our kids had such a great time as we did even it rain and rain during our stay! Another wonderful thing for us was that it is not only a hostel as there was so many things going on downstairs with live music one day, then... More

Very unique building, one will love it if interested in art, architecture and history. It is just a few steps away from the center in a cool artistic quarter of the city. A lot of pub and bar are around with concerts in the evenings. However, our room and the bathroom was not clean, you could see the dust, hair... More

Hostel Celica is a super cool place. I stayed here over the summer with some friends and we picked it because of it's history as an old prison. The rooms are decorated by different artists- however our room was pretty boring and not exciting. The staff is very friendly, and the food/drink is alright too. The most exciting thing about... A really fun hostel with lots of outstanding features. Curtains were the ons thing missing from our cell. The staff were friendly and it was nice to see a real variety of guests from babies to OAPs. I would definitely recommend this place as somewhere different to stay that is only a short walk away from the centre.

Our stay was great, the staff was really nice and welcoming, breakfast was only 4€ and it was very good. Rooms and interior are unique and really something that you need to experience. I only didn't like the position of the hostel, next to some alternative clubs and some really strange folks, but overall great value for your money

Staff very nice. Room is 25 Euro. Takes last minute guests. WARNING : I got bed bugs when I stayed on Sept 18. I did not realize it until I got to Italy and they kept biting me. Food in restuarant is decent quality and inexpensive.Room was small, but fine. You can lock the door to your room as well... More
