They were in the middle of an upgrade during our stay and a new Reception is being created on the ground floor which will free up space in the dining/bar area. The room was really dark but did have a excellent view of the interiors of the adjacent mediaeval houses. The bed was pretty good but there was mould in... More

It is a 12 room, boutique hotel with a medieval history. A building that existed during the medieval times, it has recently been refurbished to include modern facilities by a couple who have a design background. Done in muted colors of grey and white with accents of silver found in the accessories that dot the hotel entrance, cozy breakfast room... More

We spent only one night in a family trip. We found the location very convenient for this hotel, in the city center (where cars are not allowed, but close to an area for car unloading). It is an old building that it has been nicely redecorated in a modern style. The rooms are pleasant and quiet. The bathroom well equipped,... More

Unless you're looking for a Marriott-type hotel or have a real problem with stairs, this hotel is absolutely lovely. Great location. The "penthouse" has it own beautiful garden and must be heaven in the warm months. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Let me start by saying that I really loved this hotel. It's a beautiful place. Every staff member is friendly, smiling, and greets you whenever they see you in the hallway or breakfast room or wherever. Breakfast was very good, and in the afternoon there would always be cookies and chocolates and any leftover croissants from breakfast available in the... More

The hotel in a perfect location, just a walk from the riverside and all the main sights. The rooms are excellent, spotless and tastefully furnished. The breakfast is good - you can request an omelette or scrambled eggs if you would prefer. I would definately stay again if revisiting Ljubljana

We visited Ljubljana for the first time with my wife (sans kids), and picked up this offer for a master suite in Lesar Hotel Angel through an agency. In their photos, the master suite looks pretty spacious, which it certainly is. There was extreme peace and quiet, friendly staff throughout our stay, wonderful location in the pedestrian area of the... More

This was probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in (despite their reception currently undergoing renovation which means right now it is temporarily upstairs near the dining area). Upon arriving I was met by a concierge who took my bags and escorted me directly to my room after checking in. There are only 14 or so rooms,... More

We loved this hotel from the moment we saw the entry from the street. Located in the olde town it is the benchmark for a Boutique Hotel. The fit out is subtle but superb. The staff are great and extremely friendly and the bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in. I will definitely be back to... More

This hotel is perfectly situated in the pedestrian zone, but within easy walking distance of their reserved parking spots outside. We were in room 7 - a lovely suite on the top floor with no "views," so perfectly quiet. The staff were very friendly, and the buffet breakfast was a feast. The hotel's wifi is so strong that it actually... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
LESAR HOTEL ANGEL was built in the centre of Old Ljubljana and resides in a large medieval house, where tradition and a classic look join the modern trends and approaches of topmost hospitality. Good knowledge of the city's history enabled us to shape the living space in a way that allows our esteemed guests not only to experience a pleasant and serene stay, but also feel first hand the charm of the life led by the old townspeople who once inhabited this place. In this way, we wish to join the old and traditional with the contemporary and modern. The hotel prides itself on its 500 m2 private garden that ascends the slope of the Castle Hill directly underneath the castle tower, from where a marvellous view of Ljubljana and its surroundings may be enjoyed. The garden has an exit to the Cat's Path, one of the popular routes towards the Ljubljana Castle. We wish to offer our guests a luxury stay in a calm leisure or working environment, where they can enjoy gourmet cuisine and spend time in perfect privacy in the very centre of Ljubljana, be it in the premises of the hotel or in the pleasant hotel garden.
