The hotel is situated in the main square of Krakow, with restaurants, bars, pubs and shops all around it. The restaurant directly outside has a wide ranging food and drink menu which is reasonably priced.
The staff at this hotel are really friendly and helpful, we arrived early and were able to leave our luggage with them for holding until the room was ready. The reception is staffed throughout the day. There is a restaurant area nearby which serves breakfast each day, which is a mixture of cold meats, cheese, cereals, cakes and you can request cooked food from a small menu, such as eggs, sausages, omelettes.
We stayed in room 105 and despite being located in the main square, there is no noise disturbance whatsoever. A nice touch from the hotel to leave a bottle of prosecco in the room with some fresh fruit, plus there was milk, Pepsi and Apple juice in the fridge complimentary of the hotel.
The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay, such as hairdryer, fridge, safe, coffee machine, tea and coffee and more importantly was clean and comfortable. Although not the biggest room, there was plenty of space for us to comfortably stay for 5 nights. The shower was large and had different options (overhead, handheld, jets). The only small issue with the room was the smell of damp/mould, which was coming from the side of the sink as the shower leaked water onto the side which you could see visible mould growing underneath the black seal.
Really good value, a comfortable and enjoyable stay and somewhere we would definitely stay again if visiting Krakow.

As their title states - Adults. Only. This made the hotel very quiet. It was an older building however, they definitely made it quite contemporary. They gave us free champagne, apples and some chocolates. Everything in the mini bar was free. The bathtub was actually in the bedroom while they had a very nice shower, toilet and sink in a smaller bathroom. At first, our toilet didn't have any water in it so I let the front desk know and they immediately sent housekeeping up there and fixed it within minutes. We thanked them and they left.
Bad points - the headboard was made of real leather and it had cracks. Some of the mirrors were smudged and the leather sofa seat was cracked. I recommend fabric furniture. Plus we couldn't open our window.
Other than that, the room was really nice and clean. The bed was comfortable.
Location wise its really good - its literally in a square where there are so many places to choose from to shop and eat. At night, there were two horse drawn carriages you could ride in if you felt like it.
In the morning, we had their breakfast and they give you the option to have hot and cold foods. My husband had scrambled eggs and said that they were amazing so I definitely recommend having breakfast here.

Perfect hotel in the best location Main Square stayed in the most amazing room (310) with views over the Square which comes alive at night with a gorgeous atmosphere. Hotel staff were all very welcoming and everything exceeded any expectations, from communications via email before arrival, the arrangements for private transfers, check in to the best room I've ever stayed in! Bed was like sleeping on a cloud, hot tub in the room, little gestures in the room for us (don't want to spoil) there was nothing that had not been thought of or taken care of in advance. Breakfast was beautiful freshly cooked to your order with prosecco & vodka on the buffet should you fancy that. The restaurant also opens on an evening & was always busy serving a great menu range. We visited for a 50th birthday celebration and would always stay at Betmanowska, I can not recommend this hotel highly enough! Revisiting in 2024 for Christmas Market

Although I am still a guest in this hotel I am obliged to express all my disappointment at a hotel that prides itself on being a 4 star. Apart from the location (on the central square), there is absolutely nothing to suggest a 4-star hotel. Booked the "premium" room advertised with photos that absolutely do not correspond to the room but "maybe" to the suite, I find myself in a room where you can not open the windows and with air conditioning that works badly. It should be mandatory, in a hotel description, to specify that the windows do not open so that, if I have a problem with claustrophobia, I can decide whether to choose it or not. When asked for explanations, I am told that the windows are in a historic building so they cannot be opened (???) while in the suites the windows can be opened.... something jars in the explanation. So in the room suffocating air! Cleanliness in the room quite poor, to my request if they had washed the bathroom floor I was told "not today". Poor breakfast and with few seats inside so either you wait standing for someone to get up or, whatever the weather you sit outside. Staff not particularly friendly. We won't be back!

Lovely hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room, which is incredibly well sized and very comfortable.
Hotel decor was beautiful, location spot on, beds really comfortable and definitely would stay again.
Why is it 5/5? This hotel was really close and to be honest, would rate as a 4.5, we'd stay again and one of the nicest hotels in terms of decor that we have stayed in.
Few things that could be improved: Few little bits of internal decor (brick work) that needs some maintenance to make it a 5/5.
Mixed experience of reception staff. Some were incredibly helpful, some less so.
Room service completed 1 day, the next day not - apparently we needed to put the sign out to confirm this (that wasn't done the day before).
We did book excursions via the hotel, the rolls transfer was well worth the money and we found 90% of the staff really pleasant and helpful.
It is quite noisy at night, especially at the weekends. The windows are double glazed, there are ear buds provided and you can sleep through it. It's a busy market Square, so just to be prepared as this may not suit everyone. Breakfast was included and nice but again, service was hit and miss.
So in all, I think consistency from the staff and a few little upkeep tweaks and it would have been a solid 5 for us. It would not put us off staying again and we definitely will return.
(It may be that we just noticed a difference between midweek to weekend as we stayed weds-sat and when returning would do a Mon/Tues to Thurs and avoid the weekend hustle).

We chose this hotel because of a friend's recommendation. Overall it was very good and in an excellent location but had its flaws. The room was large and had a hot tub and a stocked refrigerator which was included, no extra cost. The hotel was right on the main square which was convenient but very noisy at night and we heard the trumpeter every hour all day and night. The building is very old and needs some upkeep. The dark carpet in our room had white stains, the window sills and wood surrounding the window had badly peeling paint and badly needed repainting. The Windows opened but with no screens so the flies came in. The cleaning staff did not have the room cleaned on 2 days when we returned from our tours at 3 PM. We wanted to rest but the 3 ladies who came to clean made it impossible. One cleaned the bathroom, 2 made the bed, vacuumed, dusted, emptied trash etc. There was no place for us to go while this was taking place (the hotel did not have a lounge). The staff at the front desk were very nice, spoke good English and were helpful. There were many restaurants right outside the front door and many sights to visit within walking distance. We loved the city of Krakow and all the interesting things to see and do in the area. This is a 4 star hotel, with some improvements it could be a 5 star.

We had an "almost" perfect time at this hotel. Hassle free pre-arranged transfer in a minivan for a reasonable price got us to the hotel very easily. First impressions of our room 101 were "wow". Beautiful city view, double jacuzzi and the shower looked amazing. The free mini bar was restocked with soft drinks daily and the prosecco, robes/slippers a lovely touch.
Top tip is to eat before 6.30pm on a Fri or Sat night to get any chance of a table in the hotel restaurant where the breakfast is served. You may be able to reserve a table though although we were not told of this, simply told they were full. It is very popular, but on eating there I could see why. I had the traditional sausages and fried onions. The sausages were delicious!
The negatives - in room 101 the nighttime noise for a luxury hotel was in my view bordering on unacceptable. However it was our choice to have a city view apartment so we didn't complain. The white noise of loud chatter was fine. But we were woken regularly to the sound of the bugle player from the tower, or rowdy pubgoers from the hotel pub below. Chucking out time seems to be 1am. The highlight at 1am on Sunday morning being woken with a very loud and slurred group rendition of "oh when the saints" in Polish! The other small negative for an English couple was the lack of teabags in our room! We had been out for the day and had hoped for a refreshed supply in our room when we returned. When my husband went to ask for some teabags at around 8pm my husband was told that housekeeping had gone and so there were none. There didn't seem to be any attempt to help resolve this maybe by offering to get us some tea from any of the 3 restaurants? I would have expected some thinking outside the box from a luxury hotel. 3rd world problems I know, but it was something that could have helped us enjoy the stay more. Overall though we enjoyed the stay. Just wish I had had more undisturbed sleep there.

We stayed here in early November. Communication with this hotel was second to none, right from booking to check out. Reception staff were knowledgeable, polite and courteous. The room was spotless, everything you could possibly need - a welcome bottle of Prosecco is just what was needed after the journey; staff even arranged pick up from and to the airport. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.
Location is everything about this hotel - it is perfectly situated on the main square and the view are incredible; the vibe of the square is infectious whether you want to shop, eat or drink or simply people watch - it really is amazing.
All in all, we would not stay anywhere else. Thank you so much

Was bit apprehensive after reading some reviews, but it was the most fantastic room we have stayed in , can’t fault any part of it from location , staff , breakfast cooked to order and room was more than perfect , was so pleased we did not have a view of the square as we stayed at another hotel overlooking it , and was kept up all night with noise and the trumpet playing every hour ! I loved the dark carpet and blinds and didn’t care we didn’t have a view . Special touches with bottle of Prosecco and contents of mini bar . Well done everyone at Betmanowska!

Good morning,
As other travellers have advised the toilet is separate.
I found the room very comfortable, the bed linen was great, and it was so quiet.
A lovely hotel, amazing location.
Enjoy
We did not have any problems with noise from the main square. The only exception, was someone decided to light fireworks in the main square around 10pm one evening. Obviously we heard these fairly well, otherwise no issues.
There are more places to choose from in the Krakow area.
