We travelled to Kraków on the 18th August - 21st August 2017 and stayed as a young couple (aged 21) at the Aparthotel Stare Miasto for 3 nights.
Check in wasn't until 3pm however upon our arrival around midday, we were delighted that our room...More
Quality of accommodation is something everyone looks for when seeking somewhere to lay their head, but probably the most critical aspect is position.
And position is where Aparthotel Stare Miasto scores top marks.

Great location of hotel near old town main square the hub of bars restaurants etc. Room was clean and tidy. 20mins taxi journey form airport. Booked our tours of Auschwitz and salt mines thru hotel which was easy. Would recommend
Beautifully renovated hotel located 100m from the old town square. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Jagoda, who went out of her way to look up various trips on the internet for us and made several phone calls asking about prices.

As my title implies the location of the hotel is just perfect! It is located in a street 1 minute away on foot from the main square! The design of the rooms is also perfect. Brick-walls, wooden structures, modern bathroom and kitchen facilities in a...More

Definitely book to go to Austwich. You can do this through hotel reception about £35. Tours fill up quick so book straight away. Also, Shindlers factory is really good. Taxi fare over is about £8, but takes about 2 hours to walk round. The salt caves are brilliant too. Raspberry and Honey (in English) is a great authentic restaurant just off the main square, but booking us essential to get in.

We went by train from Krakow to Oswiciem, we did not go as a tour just a regular train it was basic but very cheap and great for seeing the countryside, we went in winter and the train was heated. I would highly recommend the train, the station is walking distance to Stare Miastro and once you get to Oswiciem you can get a taxi from the station to Auschwitz, we walked but it is a few KMs and taxi's are cheap. You can book the train online with Polish Rail or you can just get a ticket at the station, we booked in advance online, they are very efficient. Enjoy, we loved Stare Miasto and would love to go back, April will be perfect, December was freezing.
