I stayed here with my partner, and Mum and Dad for a city break and I could not have asked for more. It is complete luxury and it’s quite small and intimate which I loved. The bar itself can only fit about 20 people which in my book, adds to the allure.

If you are a cocktail lover then look no further and the bar food is delicious.

The rooms are immaculate and feel like they have just been built or renovated. Nothing is tired or tarnished or marked and the towels are straight out of a packet. Simply divine !

If I were to offer one drawback it is breakfast. The food itself is gorgeous but the room can’t hold many people so if you pick the wrong time to arrive, you could sit for 20 minutes in reception waiting / queuing. Out of their control I know.

Overall I would recommend it to anyone and I hope to return very very soon. It was a fantastic find 🤩

First trip to Poland. I booked this hotel directly after seeing it on live holidays and was a but cheaper. The hotel is quite swish and yes its a 5star. The staff were very helpful and we were welcomed with some bubbly on arrival. The bedroom was quite lovely and the bed enormous. Our room overlooked the vistula river though we didn't realise at first. Very close to Wawel Castle, old town and kazimieriz. I'm surprised at the criticism of this hotel because from my experience it really didn't deserve it. There is a wellness suite and a gentlemen lounge/bar though we didn't use either. nespresso in the room, well stocked mini bar and a bottle of red wine. Bathroom had underfloor heating and floor lights so you could find your way in without waking your partner. I loved it here and would happily return. Loved krakow great place.

Unlike the ultra modern Wrocław MGallery hotel, this fellow-chain member didn’t exceed, or quite meet our expectations.

This was to be our bit of luxury in our Europe road trip. It didn’t quite get there. Our room was a very unusual shape, and faced onto the hotel’s atrium, and we were told this was quieter than facing onto the street. What we weren’t told was that the atrium acted as a dining area and if we opened our window for fresh air we had Mamma Mia instead! Aside from this the room had everything you would expect from a hotel of this standard.

I have reviewed the restaurant separately, and our experience was very positive.

At this stage I should say that the hotel is surrounded by a building site as a new tram is being installed, which we were told is forecast to last another 1-2 years. There are tables at the front of the hotel but the vista is poor. There is a bar in the cellar which was very cosy, but not where you want to sit for cocktails on a balmy summer’s evening.

The area where the hotel fell down the most was the reception. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful, but didn’t quite cut the mustard. On one occasion they seemed in chaos, as there was a large group which had arrived to dine in the adjacent restaurant. Separately, there was a lack of communication. The hotel advised us they could organise a trip to Auschwitz for us. We asked them to book it. We received confirmation this was done, but we were not told:
(A) the departure time,
(B) what we needed to take ( including ID, which is vital); and
(C) that we were expected to pay the driver in cash at the conclusion of the trip, by which stage we did not have tha cash.
We only discovered (A) and (B) by asking ourselves, and (C) was resolved by the hotel ( which we would have expected) bearing in mind they had added 33% to the cost when we had booked in advance.

In terms, therefore, we had a very comfortable time here but we mark it down from a 5star hotel because of its location and also because of the failings in the training of the front of house staff.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We value all guest insights as they help us to continually improve our services. We are glad to hear that you had a comfortable stay and appreciated the amenities provided in your room. However, we are sorry to learn that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding the room facing the atrium, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the noise from the dining area. We aim to provide a quiet and relaxing environment, and we regret that this was not the case during your stay. We understand that the ongoing tram construction nearby may have affected your experience. Unfortunately, such infrastructure projects are beyond our control, but we are hopeful that the improvements will benefit the area and our guests in the long term. We appreciate your positive comments about the restaurant and the cosy atmosphere of our cellar bar. However, we regret that it was not the ideal spot for your summer evening cocktails. We are continually working to enhance our guest areas to better suit all preferences. Your comments about the reception staff are especially concerning. While we are pleased that they were polite and helpful, we are disappointed that the level of service did not meet your expectations. We take your feedback seriously and will review our training programs to address the communication and organizational issues you experienced. Ensuring our guests are fully informed about their bookings and necessary details is a priority, and we regret that this was not your experience. We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding your trip to Auschwitz. Clear communication about logistics and requirements is essential, and we are sorry for any stress this caused during your travels. We will take steps to ensure such oversights do not occur in the future. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future, so we have the opportunity to provide you with a truly exceptional experience. Best regards,

This hotel is positively a jewel box. The public spaces are beautiful and glimmer at every turn. But it does not end there. The rooms are just as beautiful with just as much attention to detail as the public areas of the hotel. If you are looking for an elegant escape that feels like you’re in a small version of Versailles, this hotel offers that opportunity. We stayed here for three nights with another couple and wanted to be close to Krakow sites, but not too close to noise and crowds. This fits the bill. The rooms and bathrooms are beautiful and have great attention to glittering detail. The bed is comfortable and air conditioning works beautifully. We had reserved a room that was one step up from the standard king room, and when we were taken to our room, it was on the fourth floor, and it was very very small. We spoke with the desk and asked them to move us to a standard room as there was not enough space for my husband to stand up on his side of the bed or for us to move comfortably in the room. We were perplexed by this room choice and couldn’t imagine this attic room was a step up from standard. This was our only difficulty but it was handled quickly and efficiently by the front desk. The breakfast was served in the main dining room and was delicious, plentiful and with a good assortment of hot and cold items. We especially enjoyed the breakfast sausages and fresh juices. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely. We had the pork schnitzel and it was outstanding and the live music was perfect for a nice evening out. The downstairs bar is not to be missed! It is inviting, cozy, intimate with plush velvet and leather sofas and chairs. It was a man cave on the highest order and had a great selection of custom cocktails. We had wonderful service at the bar from Michael (not sure if this is spelled right) one night and surly service from the female bartender the next night, but the surroundings were the perfect place to hang out with our friends to enjoy an evening cocktail. This is a special and sumptuous hotel and not run of the mill. The service can be hit or miss though and can run hot and cold and that would be my only negative comment.

This is a stunning luxury hotel within walking distance of the Central Square (Rynek) in Krakow. It was practically across the street from Wawel Hill. The lobby was very elegant and much too small for our group of 40 on arrival! The staff handled us very professionally and we were checked in quickly. They had actual bellmen! Our room was very comfortable with over-the-top decoration (gilded mirrors and rococo trim.) The beds were comfortable and there was a "pillow menu." I wish that I had asked for a down pillow! Fluffy robes and slippers were provided. There was a small but elegant bar on the lower level. The drinks seemed overpriced or maybe I was overcharged! The restaurant got raves from members of our group, but I did not eat there. The breakfast was quite nice even though the offerings were somewhat limited. All of the hotels we stayed in on this trip had fancy self-service coffee makers. I got spoiled by them. Additional items were available for an up charge, I think. I did not use the spa but wish I did. It had a lovely salt room and a small pool that was more for just relaxing in than swimming. But, it was warm, not hot, and too big to be a hot tub! Construction on the street complicated the walk to Wawel but that should finish soon. On the whole, a lovely hotel.

A truly beautiful hotel situated a brisk 10 minute walk from the old town. Competent and helpful staff who always greeted you with a welcome and a smile. The interior is plush with top of the range carpets, mirrors and fixtures and fittings. The bed was large and very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel which is well worth its 5 star rating.

This hotel is deluxe!
Staff were friendly, professional and polite and their English was perfect which made our stay so much easier as we speak no Polish.
Breakfast was just enough on offer, and the hidden bar downstairs was cosy.
The rooms were spotless and had everything you need except an iron but it only took a few minutes to organise one.
Michael on concierge was a delight to interact with and nothing was too much trouble for him.
If you are looking for an intimate and special stay in Krakow this is your hotel!

If you travel often you may be used to the pictures on the website being somewhat misleading. Not the case with this hotel as it is even more beautiful in person. I already miss the bed and and the customized pillows. More impressive than the quality of this hotel is the quality of the staff. I have never stayed in a hotel where the staff so quickly became like family. Victoria, in particular, went above and beyond. She helped with my scheduling and offered great options on tours and transportation. As I travelled away from Krakow, during my visit and did not know anyone else outside the hotel, I would call the hotel for advise and assistance. Victoria was always available to help and answer questions. When I finally was able to return to the hotel she had my same room available and ready for me. It truly felt as if I was returning to my family. I personally don’t believe you can train staff to perform to this level of service, rather you have to only hire the highest quality of people to begin with. The Bachleda has succeeded in doing this. I look forward to returning to Krakow and would not consider staying anywhere else. Thank you and oh yes the cheesecake that is offered for breakfast is well worth the guilt you feel after eating it.

Chose this hotel because it seemed to have loads of individuality. Weren't disappointed! Housed in an older style building and they have achieved a really excellent standard of finish. Lots of black marble, gold and velvet, which might seem a bit too much, but the overall result is sumptuous. The bedrooms are lovely and the spa area is again full of gold and marble but superb!

The staff were extremely professional but friendly. Also the Gavi restaurant has some of the best food that we've tasted (seperate review being done). Excellent value for money and thoroughly recommended

My partner and I have just returned from a mini break to Krakow and we were absolutely delighted to have stayed at Bachleda Hotel.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with upmost professionalism. Welcomed with a complimentary drink but more importantly with smiles and corteousy.
Our room was very tastefully decorated with all mod cons and all the little touches that make a big difference. It was quiet and peaceful.
We enjoyed a cocktail in the bar every evening and relaxed as the bartender worked his magic as he prepared drinks. The quality furnishings and attention to detail made the bar a very special space.
We ate on both evenings in the hotel restaurant Gavi. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and their knowledge of the cuisine and wine was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and preferences were accommodated. The Bachleda is exceptionally well managed and the staff are a credit to the hotel.
