Detailed Reviews
My daughter booked for a 3 night weekend break for my 50th birthday. On arrival we were swiftly and politely given our room keys and full details of everything we needed to know for our stay. And the lovely concierge took our cases up to the 1st floor. We were in room 110. The room was a good size tho the beds could have done with having a little more space between them. Felt more like a double not twins. Beautifully clean with everything you need to a comfortable stay with added extras of robes , slippers , tea and coffee making facilities and a very well stocked mini bar, the prices of which were ridiculously cheap. The room had an iron and board and a big flat screen tv tho this lacked and english channels except CNN. The bathroom was fully stocked with all the toiletries needed and the deepest bath a girl could want!!
Our view was lovely, straight onto Wavel castle and the river it was a joy to open the curtains on a morning.
A good ide from the hotel was a little card to hang on the door for the room service lady. If you declined room service you got a free drink at the bar. Such a good idea as maid service on a mini break is just not necessary in my opinion.
The bed were lovely, huge pillows and very clean. My only negative would be the mattress protector on my bed. Plastic backed and very uncomfortable but I removed it and that was that.
Heating was also a bonus due to the seasonal weather.
We stayed bed and breakfast and this was served in the lovely ground floor restaurant. Massive selection of food. Hot full English style, fresh breads and jams, continental included smoked fish, meats and cheeses so much choice tho the Polish version of scrambled eggs and sausages are an acquired taste. We both managed to fill up on what we wanted tho so no complaints.
Upstairs there is a roof top bar and the views here are stunning. We didn't eat as we found the prices rather high but we did pop up for a cocktail on Saturday night and these were lovely. Theres also a nice little lobby bar too.
All the staff were friendly and efficient but a shout out to the lady with long dark hair on reception, didn't get her name. She was friendly and always on hand to answer any questions.
In all a fabulous stay in a smashing hotel only 15 minutes walk to the Market square. Five minutes to the Castle and with a really good supermarket next door. Well recommended

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently. It cannot be described as charmingly Polish, it was modern (ish) and fit for purpose. The staff were welcoming and friendly but sadly our room on the first night was dreadful! It was positioned on the inside of the building on floor 5 and overlooked a quadrant, rubbish bins and kitchen windows!! Frankly we could have been staying in the centre of London, or any other city across the world. I complained immediately and the staff were so understanding and kind. Because it was Valentines, they explained that the hotel was full but that we could be moved to another room the next day. The following morning we repacked our belongings which were duly moved for us into our new room, which boasted a view of the castle!!!! Although we were initially disappointed, our issue was dealt with so well, so thank you to all concerned. The breakfasts were amazing, a huge variety of cooked food, fruit, cereals, meats, cheese and breads along with an assortment of pastries each day. It is positioned in a relatively central location, within 10 mins walk to the centre square, next to the river with a view of the castle. An easy walk to the Jewish area and on a tram line should you need a helping hand!!! If we were to visit Kraków again I would definitely stay at the Kossak again.

We stayed at Hotel Kossak for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We opted to upgrade to a Royal Panorama Suite with a balcony and had amazing views of the river and Castle. The room was spacious and had a separate livingroom area, a bathroom and an extra toilet. Both the bedroom and living area had TVs. There was a safe in the room and a mini bar, tea and coffee facilities and water replenished daily. Toiletries and robes and slippers were also provided. Staff were all so friendly and helpful and were always on hand if you needed them. Main square is about ten mins walk. We booked our trips through the hotel and got picked up from directly outside the hotel to go to Auschwitz and also the Salt Mines. We also went to Schindler factory and really enjoyed that. We did electric buggy tour by night which was also a great experience. Meals out were cheap but tasty. Krakow is a beautiful place and the hotel is one I will definitely return to when I go back! Thank you Hotel Kossak

I have just returned from a 3 night stay with my husband. This hotel was in a great location, just a 10 minute walk from the main square where all the restaurants and bars are located. We were warmly greeted and given a map and guide book. Our room on the 4th floor had everything we needed with lovely toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast each morning was great with plenty of hot and cold choices. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Two couples stay at this quality hotel. We had two double rooms. Breakfast was excellent and included in the price of the stay. The rooms were comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities along with a minibar. We had a shower bath. A hairdryer was in the bathroom. The TV had a channel giving useful information about Krakow and attractions around the area. The hotel also has a roof top restaurant, bar and terrace which we didn’t use during our stay.
We arranged transport to and from the airport prior to our visit with the hotel. The cost for 4 of us cost 100PLZ (£20) each way and took approximately 20 minutes. This was so easy/quick and efficient.
Hotel staff were really helpful offering advice on train timetables for getting to and from Bochnia salt mine.
We were also allowed to leave our luggage in a lock up after our check-out time prior to our departure
The hotel was approximately 15-20 minutes walk from the main square and around the same distance from the coach and main train station.
Well stocked supermarkets were very close by if required.

The hotel is perfectly located. 15-20 mins from airport which is 100 (£22.50) one way or there is a bus which takes around 35 minutes door to door which is around 3 (80p) one way.
its about 20 minutes to Jewish Quarter is you want to take the river which is one of the ways there albeit the longer option (but certainly scenic). its a 5min walk to the mian square.
Location is excellent!
Staff & Hotel were outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble at all and the place is stunningly clean. Breakfast was absolutely lovey, fresh coffee, good selection and on a three night stay it wasnt getting boring as options chnage slighly day to day.
We had dinner in the roof top restaurant also on our first night as we arrived quite late, all inhouse purchases (when added to your room) are subject to a 10% discount on settlement which was a great bonus.
The reception team also booked us a trip to Auschwitz which had a pick up about 150m away from the hotel. They also helped us with a booking we made direct by calling the company and ensuring our booking had been received for the next day as it was last minute.
Rooms were impeccable as was the lounge, bar, toilets etc.
Frankly I cannot say enough about what a wonderful hotel, team and service we received. Commendable!

Stayed for New year 2019/2020 and couldn't fault this place.
Super friendly and helpful staff, nice room, good breakfast, trips arranged by reception, very reasonable prices.
The rooftop restaurant is a gem.Fab food with great views over the river and the city looking up to the castle.Could not believe the low price of the bill in the rooftop restaurant,I was expecting double what it was.
So if you want a great little hotel that is modern and up to date,in a good position for getting around, great price ,and just enjoyable to be in then use Kossak. 4.9 /5.
0.1 knocked off only because there could be slightly more coffee and milk in the room (Nothing to moan about)

Great 4* hotel about 10 minute walk from the main square. Very attentive staff who arranged tours and airport transfers for us and all communication pre arrival was great. Room was super - at front of hotel which didn’t bother us at all. Only gripe was over crowding at breakfast - second morning somebody came and sat with us (no tables for 2 so we sat at a table for 4) which I didn’t like. On day 3 there were no tables so my daughter had breakfast in the lounge area. I did complain which was dealt with promptly and I was reimbursed so could have breakfast elsewhere. Sorry, I just like my own space at breakfast.

Stayed at Hotel Kossak for three nights, we had a family room, it was exceptional, from the cleanliness, to service to the breakfast! The whole stay was superb! I was very sceptical about this hotel as friends had said I had paid a lot for a hotel in Krakow, however I now know why. This hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are fantastic, room is restocked every day, mini fridge full- however you do pay for what you use of course! The breakfast and bar facilities downstairs were super. Will definitely be back! Also a great location, beautiful views, only 16 mins to the airport and a five min walk into the main square!

The hotel was beautiful with fantastic views from the roof terrace. The rooms were lovely and clean. We stayed on a bed and breakfast break and the breakfast didn’t disappoint, a huge variety of food and drinks. On 2 days we went out early on day trips, the hotel provided us with a take away breakfast, there was that much it did us for lunch as well. The staff were amazing, really helpful, very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this hotel for a visit.
