#16 of 108 hotels in Gdansk
Book your stay in the heart of Gdansk The Ibis Gdansk Old Town is located in millennium-old city, where you can experience the history with every step. The most important tourist attractions - the Old Town Hall, St. Mary's Basilica, Neptune's Fountain, the Artus Court or the crane postcard on the Motława River are just a few minutes away. The European Solidarity Center, the Gdansk observation wheel, the cinema and the shopping center, and during summer St. Dominic’s Fair are also nearby. This is a great place to stay with family or friends. You will easily reach us by train - Gdańsk Główny Railway Station is only a 10 min away walking, your own car, which you can park safely in the hotel car park or by plane. Gdansk Airport is 12 km away. The hotel's Ibis Kitchen Restaurant offers a special international menu. The bartender is the sign of the program and the pride of the chef are the sign of the restaurant. Also try the unique lemonade, prepared with freshly squeezed, juicy lemons. In the modern and spacious lounge area with comfortable sofas you can not only check your E-mail, but also drink coffee or play board games. It is a great place to have a business or private meeting too. Important information for sleepyheads: rooms at Ibis are equipped with specially designed Sweet Bed beds, so you do not want to sleep anywhere else! And good night sleep will make a great day. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and cable TV in the rooms.

Very good hotel in a great position. The staff is always very very kind and ready to help. The only problem is that soundproofed was not at top. We heard the continuing steps of the guests in other rooms also durung the night. Here is possible to improve. However I'll back.

We arrived for 3 nights on August 8th 2020. Raphael greeted us at reception. He was very helpful and gave us information and some free city guides and maps. Our room was 305 on the 3rd floor. It was clean and bright with a very comfortable bed. The hotel have taken steps regarding Covid19. Hand gels on every floor, masks to be worn in public areas and a minimum amount of people allowed in the lifts. The down side was the breakfast! Before Covid this hotel was reknowned for it's breakfast. The reviews were fantastic. Not any more. The bread was very limited. Rolls and an awful rye bread which looked like a dog had chewed on it! The staff served small cocktail sausages and scrambled egg which looked and tasted awful. There were no bowls of fruit, no croissants etc.. On a counter were plates which had cheese, ham, and cucumber wrapped in celophane. The ham was awful and damp at the edges! I don't blame the staff. They have to do their job. I think Accor/Ibis are using the Covid crisis to save money by downgrading, particularly the breakfast. The previous reviewer Jasper_Stefan summed up what I thought about it. His photos really show how poor the food was in the morning. The hotel has everything going for it, good staff, clean, great location, but this breakfast would put me off coming again. On a seperate note, go across the road to Swojski Smak bar and restaurant. It looks like a basic cafe outside but inside there is a beautiful bar and the staff are excellent, especially Matheusz. He speaks excellent English and likes to talk!

We stayed at Ibis hotels many times before (>5 times a year during the last decade) but this time we were not impressed. We understand that Covid-19 poses some restrictions, but the current breakfast offering is unfortunately downright appalling compared to breakfasts in other Polish hotels incl. Ibis Krakow Stare Miasto, both in terms of variety and quality. Ibis-fans will miss e.g. muesli, selection of fruits, selection of jams, more than 1 variety of yoghurt, croissants, and pain au chocolat. Furthermore, it seems that the hotel recently underwent renovation and is now part of a new Ibis design. This includes some improvements, but also a return of carpet (in stead of laminate flooring in other Ibis-hotels) that will be collecting dust for decades to come - bad news for those with allergies. Staff was doing their job but little more than that. Considering all of the above, and the price level compared to e.g. the Krakow Ibis Stare Miasto hotel, there surely must be better options in town.

Dear Jasper_Stefan, thank you for leaving your review regarding stay in our facility. I am sorry to hear our breakfast did not meet your expectations. We needed to changed a bit our breakfast form due to current situation- it is all aimed for Guest safety. Hope soon we will have chance to expand variety of our breakfast and provide our excellent breakfasts for our Guests :) Kind regards!

I'll have to give 1 points to Ibis Stare Miasto for refusing to refund a booking that they failed to deliver because 1) they closed the hotel 2) Poland closed borders for all non-polish citizens. 0 points for Ibis Stare Miasto and the Accor chain. This is not how you make your clients rebook and reflects how flexibly the clients are also treated on site. it also reflects the Ibis-Accor hotel chain's policy, because same happened with another Ibis hotel in Italy. Didn't get them to refund the money even though all roads leading to the hotel were closed and there was no way for the hotel to deliver their services. Booking made via Totalstay

Stayed here with a friend. Location is perfect, near the bus station and old town but very peaceful. Hotel is clean and modern with comforatble rooms. We asked for extra pillows (2 in total were there originally) and one thing to note is that they initially only set us with one Blanket. We got a second one by asking so no problem there, but keep this in mind if you know already that you Will need two. No drinking glasses or a fridge (which you can most likely see when booking), in case you were wondering. Friendly and helpful staff! 😊Would recommend!
