This is solid traditional hotel with very interesting history. The hotel is in the city centre so all great Brno pubs are as close as you need. There is stylish furniture. The staff is also very polite. Pretty sure I will come back sometimes...

The hotel has a nice clean environment but the internet doesn't work in some rooms and the furniture is very old. The service was nice and the breakfast was very good, although I was part of a big group.

Slavia is a communistic style hotel which is in the heart of Brno. Rooms are very basic and functional so if you're looking for a more upscale place, you're better off heading elsewhere. What I liked was the rooms were neat and clean and had a touch of the 19th century in them. The bathrooms could definitely benefit from some...

The Slavia’s location is excellent, breakfast is fine, rooms are good-sized, beds are comfortable, Wi-Fi is reliable, and staff is helpful. As several guests have noted, the furnishings and décor are dated, harkening back to the Eastern Europe of decades ago, and not always in a good way. Vintage wooden closets and retro-styled chairs may be charming, but antiquated bathroom...

A friend and I used this hotel as a base to walk in the Czech Republics international march (about 10 km away in Brno Brytrc). I have stayed in Brno before, and therefore chose this hotel based on its location, close to the centre and the ammenities. Freedom Square 3 minute walk, the railway station and main bus/tram station are...

Right in the centre, can't fault the location! Rooms very dated and not the cleanest.... Staff very friendly and helpful. Paid for parking(€8 a night) but they sell more than their 15 spaces to guests so we had to park and pay elsewhere on both nights.

I love when people stay in a cheap hotel and then criticize it. What do you expect for $50.00 a night? We stayed here for 1 night and we thought it was just fine. We have found that most of the smaller hotels throughout Eastern Europe are old with 70's or earlier décor. Could it be updated? Sure, but consider...
