The location was okay, about 20 mins walk into the town centre. The hostel was okay, good enough for the price. Staff was helpful and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms could have been cleaner and with some ventilation (as it didn't work).

I was in Brno to stay for a few days. I decided to stay in this Fleda hostel, the main reason was the price. The atmosphere in the hostel was great. A lot of interesting people were there, very nice and friendly staff. Clean kitchen and the bathrooms. Very good public transport from the hostel.

Even though Fleda wasn't even half full as it's already low season, the atmosphere there was absolutely amazing. We were a party of two travelling to Brno from different parts of the world and even though one of us didn't make it to the hostel as originally planned, the staff were very helpful :) Actually, in general all of the... Having stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom, the room was very clean and quiet. There were two bathrooms for I'm guessing was 4 twin rooms. The kitchen had everything you would expect. Whilst it may be crowded if a few people are cooking at once, there was room to prepare, cook and eat! The kitchen was the... More

Hostel Fleda is a very good hostel, but only if you don't get a room which has a view on the road, where a tramway passes all day long, which is not very nice in the morning, especially during summer where it is so hot that you want to open the windows (no air conditioning). The staff is super nice,... More

Right from the time you arrive to depart you will find the staff here always smiling, happy to help and greeting you even when your just popping back after an afternoon in town. The rooms are simple but the beds were made up with clean linen (backpackers dream right there) I stayed in the 5 bed room so was lucky... More

Hostel Fleda we found by recomendation from a friend and he was absolutely right! Nice, big place, room was good, big, huge lockers under the bed, big space between lower an upper bunk (yeah, that was a huge plus). Cheep price for bed. The best part however is staff. Girl who checked us in, Klara is simply amazing! Sadly we... More

My father and I scrambled to find cheap accommodations before leaving Prague one evening on a roadtrip. The hostel was ultimately not that cheap, and we regretted not simply paying 5-10 euros more to stay at a hotel. The hostel is located above a nightclub, so it was very loud until the late hours. The rooms were clean enough and... More

Stayed for 3 nights in a 5 bed dorm with shared bathroom. First impressions of the place weren't good. We had to lift our bags up stairs, the girl on reception at the time of checking in made our paying much more complicated than it was, then we were taken to our room. The tiles by reception are all broken... More

This place was nice. We booked 2 big dorms with around 15 people and everything was good for us. We had two attached rooms. Showers and bathrooms were in nice, clean conditions. The staff is very nice and we loved the attached bar in the basement. It is a fair bit of walk if you wanna walk to the city... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Do you want to enjoy your stay the best way possible, but not pay too much? Come to Fléda! Fleda is a pulsing place, low-cost, but cozy, with all the facilities a backpacker needs, and many opportunities to have fun around. WHAT IS THE ATMOSPHERE LIKE? Hostel Fleda is a place where history meets the present day- here you can feel the breath of the old days together with the contemporary rhythm of the city. How is this possible? Situating a centre for free-spirited travellers and the most modern venue for musicians in a building which used to house an art nouveau cabaret did the trick. WHAT HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT US? Hostel Fleda is the oldest hostel in Brno. We have had our ups and downs throughout the years, but we have pulled together all our professional experience , improved the place the best way we could and are ready to fulfill all the traveller´s needs and wishes like never before! Do you want to know exactly what we have done? Ok then: we have painted the walls tastefully, bought antique furniture and accessories, cleaned the bathrooms with a toothbrush (no kidding) and livened up the balconies by planting flowers and herbs. We do not want to pretend that Hostel Fleda will ever be a fancy three star hotel; what´s much more important for us is that the place has a soul. WHERE IS IT? Hostel Fleda is located close to the city centre and the most popular attractions: it's five minutes by tram or fifteen minutes walk through Luzanky, the oldest park in the city, a very popular place to have a picnic or play a game. The famous UNESCO-listed Villa Tugendhat is just behind this park. WHAT´S IN AND AROUND? Hostel Fléda offers both private rooms and dorms, which consists of bunk beds or single beds with good mattresses and comfortable pillows and blankets. Lockers are available in every room. Extra beds and childrens beds are also at your disposal , and pets are welcome. Sheets and towels are available for free. ... more   less
