Residence Agnes**** is located in the heart of charming Old Town, just a few steps from Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov containing preserved synagogues that attract tourists from around the world; it is also close to the attractive Palladium shopping centre. Due to its location, the residence is the ideal base for your visit to Prague – whether for a shopping spree, or to visit cultural and historical sites. The historical Residence Agnes building is located in one of the oldest parts of Old Prague which is listed by UNESCO. The first mention of the building dates back to 1369, when it was bought by Matyas for “two three-scores of groschens”. Residence Agnes underwent extensive reconstruction in January and February 2012, when the building was transformed into a four-star air-conditioned hotel offering an excellent service and pleasant atmosphere.

A great hotel! We generally travel with the family in hotels from 4 stars upwards. This hotel deserves at least 5 stars. The staff took very good care of us as a family in the four days and were available and helpful even at a later time.
Rooms are cleaned daily and provided with free drinks.
Breakfast was very varied and drinks are served at the table.
The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to explore the old town and the banks of the Vltava.
Rely on the information of the hotel staff.
Prague Castle is served free of charge.
One of the largest shopping centres is about 700 metres away.
Two top restaurants (Nase Maso and Lokal) are 100 metres from the hotel.

This was my favorite hotel of six I stayed at on my most recent trip to Europe and quite honestly is one of the best value hotels I have ever stayed at. In fact I have booked another four night stay for a family member of mine for later this month! From the introductory email, to the complimentary pick-up at the train station, to the welcoming (daily) complimentary cocktails, to the wonderful and very extensive breakfast, to the friendly staff, and the beautifully furnished room, this hotel was perfect. I was skeptical when everyone had given it five starts but it is very much deserved. There was always someone readily available to help. Rooms and bathroom were a very good size with plenty of room to move around. Everything was very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel. Special shout-out to Stefan, Denise and Vicky for all their wonderful help.

My wife and I were fortunate to stay at the Agnes Hotel 27-31 May 2024. At the time of writing, there have been 4600+ 5 star Trip Advisor reviews for the Agnes. Of course, we have not read all of them but we have read a fair sample. Frank and his Agnes Hotel team absolutely deserve those 5 Star reviews - there is nothing we can add to those reviews with which we totally agree. Frank has redefined "hospitality" - guests receive a bespoke and sincere welcome that continues throughout your stay. Victoria take the time to personally understand what each of their guests want to do or see in Prague, what style of restaurants they wish to eat at and then provides advice and guidance on every aspect. Frank makes his driver available to pick up guests from their point of arrival in Prague and to take them to their place of departure. The driver is also available to take guests to some of the tourist spots. In our case, we had arranged to be taken to the Praque Castle district. When the car was unavailable due to taking a departing guest to the airport, Frank personally arranged and paid for a taxi to take us to the Castle. All the Agnes staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was meticulously cleaned each day. Breakfast is an event all of its own with wide range of delicious food. The Agnes is a hotel that we would absolutely recommend to any person seeking to stay in a boutique hotel.

I stayed at Hotel Agnes for 4 days in September and could not have been happier with the experience. The location was perfect - close to the main city attractions, but on a quiet street. In fact, the room was so quiet that we never heard any noise during the night from either the street or inside the hotel. The room was updated, clean, and tastefully appointed. The breakfast was beyond any that I’ve experienced as included in the room rate, and included a huge selection of eggs, meats, cheese, fruits, pastries, yogurt, etc. But what really sets this hotel apart is the staff. Every single member of the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. In all my travels, I have never felt so spoiled. I could not be happier with my experience there and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague.

We loved our stay at this charming and welcoming inn on a quiet street within a 10 minute walk to so many sights of Prague! The service was outstanding, truly. No task was too small for the owner Frank and he and his staff seemed solely focused on ensuring that guests had everything they needed at all times. Every time you walk inside they ask about your day and offer you cocktails/drinks on the house. The breakfast was amazing - best of our trip so far with delicious eggs and quiche, fruits, homebaked treats etc. They picked us up at airport and dropped us at train station for no charge, and helped us book tours, train tickets, and dinner reservations. The hotel itself is in an old convent with a cobblestone courtyard but renovated very nicely including doublepane windows in our room so we didn't hear any street noise and slept very comfortably. Stop researching hotels and book this one - you won't be disappointed. We were sad to leave, staying there made our time in lovely Prague even more enjoyable!

As the hotel is in a central location in Prague, had good reviews and offered free parking, we stayed there for 2 days. When we arrived, we were already expected in front of the hotel so that we could use our parking space directly opposite the hotel. The welcome at check-in was as warm as we have ever experienced, combined with coffee and cake. The hotel has the character of a boutique hotel, with a huge inner courtyard where breakfast is also served. The breakfast buffet was a dream, presented with lots of love. The rooms were top-notch, tastefully decorated and had a lovely view of the old town. The lady at reception gave professional advice, in perfect English, about tours, sights, concerts and restaurants. On her recommendation, we booked concert tickets and visited 2 suggested restaurants. 1 of them was a little more upscale, 1 was good, homely. Everything was perfect. Thanks again to the team for a great stay.

My husband and our two sons (18 and 23) had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Agnes in June 2024. When we arrived, Victoria sat down with all of us (after providing drinks) and took the time to personally understand what each of us want to do or see in Prague and recommended a restaurant (and made the reservation for us) All the Agnes staff are friendly - offering drinks every time we walked into the hotel in the afternoon and evening. They are wonderful in providing transportation and as another guest has mentioned in his review, when their driver was unavailable, they paid for a taxi to take my husband and myself to Prague Castle. The Agnes staff makes this hotel outstanding.

We join the other reviews in saying that the Hotel Residence Agnes is the most exceptional hotel we have ever visited. There is no way to overstate the amazing welcome and service given by the extraordinary owner (Frank) and his fantastic staff (Lucas, Victoria, Elena, and everyone else who works at this very special hotel. We spent 7 nights (in two different rooms) and were delighted with the facilities, cleanliness, location, etc. But what makes this hotel unique is the staff who go above and beyond to make every guest feel like family! Frank (the owner) is a busy man with many other business interests, but this hotel is truly his "baby" and he somehow seems to be on the scene day and night (we still wonder when he sleeps). Any of the staff will sit down with customers (in the immaculate lobby) and answer questions, provide wine/beer, make itinerary suggestions, and/or arrange for tours. If you need to get somewhere in town that is outside normal walking distance the staff will often be able to give you a lift via owners van.
My simple recommendation is that if you plan a visit to Prague your first task should be to book the Hotel Residence Agnes. The quiet location is an easy walk (about 6-7 min) to the main square (heart of the city). When you arrive just put yourselves into the hands of the staff, accept their recommendations, and you will leave Prague in love with the city and the hotel.

As other reviewers have noted, it is the staff and the service that make this hotel stand out. From the moment we checked in, and every time we entered the front door after that, we were offered complimentary snacks and beverages, advice about what to see and how to get there, and even directions to the nearest laundromat (it's not great, but it sufficed in a pinch). The hotel is on a side street within an easy walk of some of Prague's main sites, including the Old Town Square, the Josefov, and the Charles Bridge. At the suggestion of Alena at the front desk, we also visited the National Gallery Prague at the Trade Fair Palace, which has some truly outstanding exhibits, a very good cafe next door, and an enormous park nearby. The room was comfortable and quiet, and breakfast was very good and offered a lot of variety. I would advise against staying on the top floor of the hotel; the slanted ceilings made the room feel somewhat cramped and created a head-bumping hazard. (We changed rooms after the first night.) Highly recommended; we would stay there again.

We have traveled All over the world, with a lot of time in Europe and I must say that the level of customer service and true care for their guests totally blew me away. From the minute we walked into their hotel from the bus station from which they picked us up complimentary, we were treated like royalty. We were offered drinks immediately and also presented with a lovely dessert gift for our 20th anniversary. They make you feel like you are the only guests in their hotel, even though they are fully booked. The rooms are very well appointed and they even offer complimentary transportation to places like the Prague Castle, which can be difficult to walk to. This hotel has all you would expect from a fine quality hotel. However, what makes this hotel stand out from any other hotel we have ever been to (and my husband is in the travel industry so he has stayed at more hotels than most ) is the warmth and incredible hospitality of Frank, Stefan, and the whole staff of this hotel. I would strongly recommend that you choose this hotel for your stay in Prague. They treat you like royalty and family at the same time. They TRULY care about the comfort of their guests.
This hotel is a real gem , and more importantly those who run this hotel are the kindest and warmest people. Stay at this hotel for your trip to Prague. I guarantee you will be SO glad you did!!!

Hi,
thank you for your question. All our rooms are equipped with a walking shower. The Deluxe double rooms are little bit more comfortable than the Standard rooms.
Our hotel has a perfect location within a few minutes to the Old Town square or the Charles Bridge. Our hotel offers services of hotel driver, who drives our guests complimentary around the city centre.
When booking directly through our website 3+ nights we would provide you with one complimentary transfer from or to the airport (otherwise price 44 EUR/transfer).
We hope you will decide to stay at our hotel. For more question do not hesitate to reach to us.
Dear Andrea,
the breakfast is possible to enjoy in any part of the hotel lobby, we have three areas. Our guests have always enough comfort when having their breakfast.
Kind regards
Agnes Team
Thank you for your interest. At the moment you would need either a negative antigen or PCR test, or proof of complete vaccination or proof that you had COVID19 in the last 180 days. In March the conditions could be different as the situation evolves and restrictions and rules are changing often.
Dear MelodyS, we do not accept pets in the hotel, therefore all rooms are pet free ;)
We all hope to welcome you soon to Prague
