I loved this boutique hotel. Clean and charming rooms on the upper floor only. Great location near the Charles Bridge. Near many restaurants. View of the towers of PRAGUE from my room. Staff spoke English and was very helpful. Fine breakfast spread is served right outside my room. Trolley or buses are right outside for easy transport around tower. And...

Our family of 5 stayed at the top floor in one big spacious room. To be honest, when we first saw the entrance, we were disappointed but once into the room, wow! My kid is extremely pleased. Running around to check out the interesting room with 2 beds on the upper deck. Wooden decor, clean sheets, big bedrooms. There's also...

The hotel is just in front of Charles bridge that leads you to the heart of old town, so we really couldn't ask for a better location. The people are very friendly and they will let you know some great spots to eat and drink away from the touristic "clichés" that everyone goes. The price is very fare but if...

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone! The hotel is absolutely charming, old world style with modern conveniences. It was perfectly located in Mala Strana, steps from the Charles Bridge and the castle and a short walk into the heart of Old Town. The desk staff was amazing- they helped us...

The Nicholas Residence Hotel is a unique, charming hotel on the 3rd floor of a building located in the heart of Prague, near the foot of the Charles Bridge. There is a tram stop directly in front of the hotel, ATMs downstairs and across the street. Great little restaurants and cafes are all around. There are only 12 or so...

We were greeted by a very welcoming young man who actually took time to take us to our room and show us where most of the main attractions were on a map. The room was actually a small apartment on the top floor with a good sized bedroom and a sitting room with a kitchen area in the corner. Lovely...

Last week I stayed at Nicholas with two of my friends. It was absolutely wonderful. The Room: Each of us had our own rooms (two bedrooms and a loft). I thought the loft might get hot because it was a very warm day out, but with the provided fan and multiple windows cooled the space down well. Our last day,...

This "residence" hotel is located within the historic Grömling palace, built in 1786. The street level contains a Starbucks which was once the historic Cafe Radetsky, frequented by Prague writers such as Jan Neruda. The Grömling palace sits in the shadow of the San Nicholas church, where Mozart once played the organ when he was in Prague, and today evening...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
