The Gothic and Renaissance building, which has in it the original ceiling in certain parts dating to the year 1319, is one of few in Prague. The DOMINICAN Hotel is situated in the heart of the city centre at Old Town Square, just a few steps away, on the cobbled streets, from the famous Astronomical Clock.

Charming hotel, friendly and helpful staff and management, huge guest room with high ceilings lovingly furnished incl. four poster bed, good choice warm breakfast buffet, comfortable restaurant inside and outside with delicious local fare (loved the pulled pork), and all that literally less than a 100 yards off the Old Town Square with the famous Astronomical Clock, and all it's lovely coffee shops and restaurants. Though right in the middle of all the bustle it was absolutely quiet in our room. Last but not least being able to park right next to the hotel made checking in and out so very convenient. For my wife it was her first time in Prague and on her birthday a lovely bottle of bubbly in an ice bucket welcomed us back at our room, when we returned after brunch. We had short but truly memorable week in Prague and the team at the Dominican sure did their part to make it so. We'll be back soon I hope!

We have been to Prague many times, but I can honestly say that so far this has been the best choice of hotel. Starting from the top location, but still situated in a quiet side street, up to very clean, large rooms with all the small details that made the stay very pleasant! Great breakfast in the beautifully decorated restaurant and exceptionally nice, courteous team!

Normally we book 5* hotels in Czech Republic as the quality standards are lower than in Germany (for example). But since we loved the location we thought to give it a try. When we arrived, the receptionist didn‘t really bother to say anything. So I had to „make the first step“ which is genuinely weird for us as we are not used to not being welcomed and told to take a seat. Another thing was that they offered other customers welcome drinks - looks like they differentiate between customers? Our Deluxe Room was good. It was spacious and quite clean. Nonetheless, keep in mind that they look way better on the management photos. Having high expectations will only cause disenchantment as the furniture is very outdated. We regret including breakfast to our booking. Went to the buffet the first time and it was horrible. Bacon and sausage were cold, bread and toast were dry, no scrambled egg or anything freshly made. And don‘t tell me it‘s because of corona because then service could wear masks as well! There were no hygiene measures at all - no desinfectant, no masks, no sanitizing of tables. Also, the lady who served us could not be more unprofessional. At least a friendly hello instead of looking at me from top to bottom as if I did her anything wrong. Eventually, we went to coffee shops and breakfast places the next few mornings while paying the hotel breakfast. I was wasted money for us.

Dear belisama_e , Thank you so much for your review and even more so, for letting us know of your thoughts and feelings regarding your recent stay with us. Let me apologize to you what did you happen during your stay with us. This is not definitely our service standard and be sure we will have a deep look into this situation as we do care for our guests best stay with us. Wearing masks is not government's regulation, and if you observed deeply we are sanitizing of tables and disinfectant are near by the bar as well. From all of us we wish you all the best and hopefully you will change your mind and you will visit our hotel again in the near future. Warm regards Lenka Rajevska Room Division Manager Dominican Hotel s.r.o.

What an awesome hotel in the middle of old town. Everything you could possibly want is within a short walk away. We upgraded to the junior suite and were not disappointed. Beautiful big room! When we checked in we were given a glass of wine!! The breakfast is the best with a lot of choices! Would definitely stay here again!!
