The service here was exceptional, my husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. Both Michail and Nikoleta from reception were great. Nikoleta was the one who assisted us with our booking. She was kind enough to arrange our airport transfer and also print our boarding passes for our trip home. Michail, meanwhile, was the one who received us when...

Well, all the reviews about location are true. Streetcar/bus hub a block away, 100 metres to the Charles Bridge, a 14th century pub next door, a complete market with fresh food, cold beer, wine & spirits on the corner; what more do you need? The hotel is lovely. 15th century with nice modern touches like WiFi, big shower, and even...

This is a small hotel located right at the Lesser Town side of the Charles Bridge. It was just a short walk to the Old Town via the bridge and you could go down alongside the hotel and within a couple of blocks you could walk along the river. The room we had was good size but sometimes people in...

Location- when you step out of the hotel, to your left is the way to the castle area which only took us 10 - 15mins walking and to your right, only a few steps away is charles bridge which is truly as beautiful as they say, the bridge itself is amazing and attractions a lot of people but also the...

We ate at the restaurant attached to this hotel, what a wonderful meal. it was huge and tasted so good, the pork knuckle was tender, crispy and just delicious. the confit duck was the same, yet the whole meal was very reasonably priced. We actually felt bad that we couldn't eat it all as it tasted so good.

Stayed here for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend. Hotel is right at the Charles Bridge, also only a 5 min walk to the castle. Homeade breakfast included multiple selections and significant portions. Service was excellent all around, more than helpful staff. Previous comment regarding street noise from Room 1-we stayed in Room 2, facing main street, and it wasn't...

Prague is magical. I understand why everyone I spoke to prior to our trip said that they loved Prague. When I asked them to be more specific, they said, "You'll see." Nicole at the desk of Residence U greeted us warmly, brought mint water to the room, and the room (we were in a Noble room as regular doubles were...

When we booked the hotel we were already amazed by the photos and we booked the royal room and I extra asked for the same room which is on the photo and we got it. It was really breathtaking. I loved the design and the charm of a 14th century house. Yes, there is no elevator and you have to...

Did not stay at this hotel, but ate there twice in three days. Food excellent hot, tasty, reasonably priced, and managed my diabetes requirements well (had already produced a Czech version of my dietary needs which were passed to the chef). The waiter was very efficient, pleasant, patient and helpful. The House red wine was very good and fairly priced. In...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
