My sister and I were very pleased with the Red Chair Hotel. We were particularly grateful for the advice and help of Premys, who went out of his way to make things easy for us. Excellent breakfast, too!

Very good location near the most popular tourists places in Prague such as Karlov bridge and Staromestska square. Rather good and manifold breakfast. Authentic and inexpensive Czech cooking in several restaurants near the hotel: Near the Parliament (excellent duck and bear) and At the Three Roses (own beer production and Eisbein). Ask reception how to get.

We stayed for two nights arriving late on this first night, which meant the taxi pickup service was very useful as navigating the street of the old town can be very confusing. Great location; within walking distance of the main tourist sites, such as Charles bridge and the old town square. Helpful staff offered locations to eat and drink. Rooms...

We are a family of 5, and had a great stay at the Red Chair. Premysl was fantastic, with eating tips, making sure we are all comfortable, and working hard to fix an internet issue. We like it so much, we are staying there again in a few days. Also, A FANTASTIC location

Very quiet room and nice decor. It was in a great location in the center of Prague, although very hard to get there by car due to the traffic patterns. The desk person, Eva, spoke good English (she had spent time in the U.S.) and was extremely helpful about restaurants and places to go.

Okay, that's my little joke. Přemysl was a mythical founder of Bohemia, but Přemysl is the young man who seems to run things at the Red Chair. He is an exceptionally considerate host who makes sure your stay goes smoothly. When we were there, Přemysl's court included several young ladies on different shifts who were equally helpful and considerate. We...

Got stuck in a way street on our way there, and the hotel staff came out to drive the car to he hotel! Once in, we had. Great experience. Service top-notch, location could not be better, food pretty average though. All recommendations from staff were great too. Very, very good!

On arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and sat us down with a map, made sure we were familiar with our surroundings and gave helpful tips of where to go. This is a charming, intimate, well placed hotel and we would be happy to stay here again

This little 3-star-hotel has 3 distinct advantages: perfect location in the old town, parking availability and exceptionally charming staff who will help you whenever they can. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are very clean. Anytime again!

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
